The absolute best

I have literally never had such an incredible massage in my life. The grounds were impeccable, the staff fantastic. It is worth the hour and a half drive from Montreal just for an afternoon there.

Massage and outdoor spas
Feb. 2020
While the massage that I experienced at Scandinave was excellent (albeit a bit expensive), I was very disappointed with the air pollution created by the many wood burning fireplaces they have near virtually every whirlpool bath outside. If you have respiratory issues or asthma, this is not the place for you. This practice is completely inconsistent with a health and wellness facility so I am left scratching my head that they purport to care for your wellness while polluting your lungs with smoke. Furthermore, particulate matter from wood burning fireplaces is what creates a huge amount of smog in Quebec. Many municipalities have put bylaws in place to address this problem. Scandinave should reconsider this activity in light of so many issues to do with health and air quality.

Clean, quiet, relaxing! Staff was incredible, there was always a presence, cleaning up, folding blankets, serving pineapple, it was very impressive!

Great design - relaxation by nature
Mar. 2020
Very relaxing stay at the Scandinave. Didn’t go for the massages but used the saunas, steam room, cold tubs, hot tubs, and lounge areas. The relaxation rooms and outdoor relaxation areas were a very nice touch. Having an ice hole in the river was also pretty neat although we didn’t adventure down there. Overall my sense was they put a lot of thought into the details of the layout and design.

Definitely recommend getting the robes for an extra ten bucks. Those made all the difference, especially in -15 C wintertime. The service was very professional and courteous - all around very hospitable. Cafe area was pretty limited in food offerings but fine for a quick bite.

I have a few criticisms though admittedly there’s likely not much they can do about these things as they’re more issues with North American culture. The first is that I will never understand why some people go to a place like this to chit chat with their friends. Most people were very respectful but there was at least one group that thought the strict silence policy meant they should carry on the same mundane conversations they usually do, except whispering. If this was in Europe the other spa-goers would have put them in their place from the start, but I guess as Canadians we don’t really have that type of forward confrontational style. We did see the staff talking to them sternly which was appreciated. For the most part they weren’t obnoxious, just mildly annoying so we avoided them and were fine. But good grief, why can’t people just be quiet for five minutes, let alone a few hours!

Second, when you’re paying a decent amount of money for relaxation, it’s really very uncomfortable to have to wear swimsuits which stay wet and cold and cling to your skin, not letting you dry off. This is also something the Germans have figured out eons ago with textilfrei saunas and while trying to relax in the outdoor lounge chairs with my freezing cold swimsuit under my robe, I couldn’t help but think how ridiculous we prudish Canadians are on this front. But I’m not holding my breath that culturally we will ever drop our body hangups and come on board, and I get that the spa doesn’t want to lose customers and attract the wrong clientele. Still pretty frustrating.

Otherwise... The highway is pretty close by but I have to say they did an impressive job with the acoustics of the waterfalls to drown out any noise even from heavy trucks. You do see a steady stream of cars in the background - a bit unfortunate it couldn’t be further in from the road in that sense but that is pretty minor. One thing I did not love was the love for red lighting (infrared lamps) in the evening. I find red not very relaxing and if I had one recommendation it might be for them to go more for softer yellows on nighttime lighting. Other than that, the design of the place was excellent and very well thought out.

We walked to the spa from the village because it was a gorgeous day. There were some very serene (although not necessarily well marked) paths through the forest, but the last 300 metres is on the shoulder of a high-speed road - it’s too bad there isn’t a sidewalk. This is also the stretch to the spa from the local bus stop. Driving/cab is definitely the easier way to go.

Overall, I would say the price was on the high end compared to value - if you only had a few hours I’d say it’s not worth it. Since you get admission for the day, we stayed for a good five-six hours and overall were quite satisfied and would probably return when in Tremblant.

Lovely visit
Feb. 2020
We enjoyed our visit to the spa. It was a fairly quiet Wednesday afternoon and not too busy. We had very nice massages which we appreciated after several days of skiing. The outdoor pools were great as were the saunas.

Stunning baths
Feb. 2020
We had a great time at Scandinave Mont Tremblant. We booked a 1 hour swedish massage and then spent 2 hours in the sauna/baths afterward. The scenery was gorgeous in the winter. We most enjoyed the new "infinity" area and especially the heated terrace, its like sunbathing in February at -15 celcius! The pools were not too busy (though it was very cold when we were there). You can even cold plunge in the diablo river! The outdoor ambiance is the number one reason to visit this spa. The prices are comparable to spas I've been to in Toronto.

I did not give a 5 rating because there were a few amenities missing that other spas have included and really elevate the spa experience. First, this spa does not provide footwear, you have to bring your own flip flops or else buy their's for $13.00. There was nowhere to dry your towel or exchange a wet for a dry towel on the pool deck. There was only one water fountain for the entire pool/sauna area with very low flow (thank goodness we brought a water bottle to fill, because there were also no cups). For me hydration is essential at a spa. The soap products in the showers were mediocre. There was no where to dry your bathing suit.

Overall we had a great time and would definitely return. The above comments we felt were minor changes that could make the spa even better.

Relaxation

I enjoyed my day trip to the spa, very clean amenities, as many towels as you like and very friendly staff! There snack bar was also enjoyable big portions for the price ( I had a tuna and soup combo for 13$ and it was delicious) the massages here were a bit more expensive than I’m used to (200$ for 60 min) but I guess due to the location and how big the spa is it was kinda worth it. There was a large group of people that wouldn’t stop talking which ruined the vibe but the staff were quick to give them a warning and then ask them to leave as they were not respecting the complete silence rule. I also very much enjoyed that it was a complete digital free environment and I would definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing spa day!

I cannot write enough great things about this place. Not too busy, great staff, very accommodating to someone with mobility issues. Lunch is always tasty, but could use more variety.

Patrons are respectful of the silence rule. Tea samples are a nice surprise.

Overall great experience for anyone spending the day or just looking for an après ski.

Very pleasant and enjoyable environment; friendly and helpful staff. They really emphasize quiet, enjoyment of all elements. Tasty tea amply available , as well as small, juicy apples! Several relaxing areas, never felt rushed. Suggest you bring a favourite book 🙂. Loved the hot pools, aromatic steam room! We were lucky to have a sunny day, so views across the river were nice. A little expensive, but a justifiable treat.
