This is one of my favourite summer destinations. The lake is large, clean, and very beautiful. There is only one boat launch and it can get quite busy so be prepared. Once you are on the water it’s relaxing and very enjoyable. Please note - in recent years it’s become mandatory that you make reservations to get into the park during the summer months. Plan ahead.

Situated in popular Golden Ears Provincial Park, Alouette Lake has become a favourite destination for a weekend camping trip or just a day trip. Lots of parking. Hiking, swimming, boating and fishing are just some of the things to do there. If you plan to camp you must reserve your site very early in the season. Picnic tables and BBQ pits available. All the feelings of being out in nature just an hour from Vancouver.

Great lake with beach and picnic areas for the family to enjoy. Showers and flush toilets for clean up after going into the lake. Signage in place for COVID restrictions & items to follow. Vehicle parking is free, note when you go check if you need a day pass to access the park, which is free and accessed online.

Went to Aloutte Lake in September 07, 2024. The weather was very hot, but the toilets were closed and instead had portable toilets and no water at all. Not even sanitizer to clean your hands. In a few hours the toilets were full and overflowing and nobody cleaned this up. There were many geese around the place and it was full of geese poop.

this is our favorite lake to go to locally! I find though in the afternoons it gets pretty windy.
There are lots of beaches to beach your boat and have a fun filled day. The water was pretty warm the last time we were their in the end of July..
Please note.. the boat launch is very busy! People at this lake need to remember proper boat etiquette. It is a boat launch! You do not fix your boat in the middle of the dock.. You do not park your boat their while your husband goes and gets the trailer.. It is incredibly rude.. and frustrating for people like myself who just wants to drop my husband off to go get our trailer.I go float in the water with the boat and wait.When he is next I pull up to the boat launch. If you do not have 2 people who know how to drive a boat you have no business going to alouette lake because the boat launch is NOT a boat parking.

Picnic and barbeque areas, a boat launch and miles of beaches, this is a great place to spend a sunny day. Swimming, boating, canoeing and much more is as close to nature as you can get in this provincial park. With many trails and views, you will want to come back time and time again. Not far from the city but far enough that you can truely connect with the true wilderness and beauty of Canada's west coast.

This nearly bath-tub temperature water is wonderful for boating, sea-doing, swimming, fishing, and kayaking. There are plenty of picnic spots and non-flush outhouse style toilets and parking. The scenery is perfect and we love the fact it is only 30 minutes from home. The boat launch is free and parking is free.

We’re looking to rent two canoes 6/29 or 6/30 to paddle out and spend the night at one of the marine backcountry sites but can’t find any info about reservations. I know this is a very busy time of year. Will we be able to drive in and rent boats the same day? We fly into Seattle late on 6/28 so wouldn’t make it until mid-day on 6/29. Thanks!

May I know how much the boat rental is? I'd to rent some kayaks for a day.

Sorry but we have our own kayaks. I believe info is on their website

1. Pets/domestic animals are not allowed in the picnic areas, beaches, marked off swimming areas or park buildings. Dogs are strictly prohibited at the main Alouette (South Beach) day-use area, which is accessible from parking lot #2, and from Campers Beach, between Gold Creek and Alouette campgrounds.
=================
2. Dogs are permitted (on leash) in only two beach areas: at the North Beach day-use area near the outflow area of Gold Creek into Alouette Lake and at the Alouette (South Beach) day-use area between the boat launch and the canoe rental shop, which is accessible from parking lot #1.

Hi, Alouette Lake is located in Golden Ears Provincial Park next to Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Maple Ridge is part of the greater Vancouver area, anyone in Maple Ridge would be able to tell you how yo get to the lake. Enjoy the beautiful lake if you visit.

I was wondering if there has been a ban on portable propane bbqs? They have banned all kinds at buntzen lake. We were hoping to have a beach BBQ this weekend somewhere.
