This little village just outside Lunenburg is really beautiful. Park and walk along the waterfront to see rustic old fishing cabins and modern new homes. Absolutely gorgeous, even on an overcast day.

We like Lunenburg.
We took the advice of friends and drove out to Blue Rocks but just didn't get it? Did we miss something. So many idyllic drives in Nova Scotia so the quaint roads and wee lighthouse or views of the ocean and sailboats, kayaks or trawlers couldn't be the highlights.
If there is something to do there we will try again.
Otherwise time best spent back in Old Lunenburg.

Blue Rocks happens to be our second home where we vacation at our lighthouse every year. Please note everyone that it is not a refurbished lighthouse. We built it in 2002 and really love it to say the least. Blue Rocks is a very special slice of heaven for all who visit or live there. A must if you go to the Lunenburg area.

Nice drive from Lunenburg along the coast. It was worth the drive and exposed lots of scenic areas and the unique rock formations. Never had been along the south shoreline and it was beautiful. The weather wasn’t ideal however it was quite rustic and historic.

I love Blue Rocks. It is so beautiful. I spent a couple of hours here enjoying the scenery. The Point General Store is a great stop for food and drinks and also has some great books, cards and other stuff for sale.
I’m so glad I went.

Blue Rocks is stunning. Just outside Lunenburg, it is a tiny fishing village and artists town. The natural beauty cannot be beat - it makes Peggy's Cove seem rather unremarkable. Drive, park, and take some time to walk around and enjoy the quiet here.

What an incredible area with so many things to do. This year I visited Blue Rocks to shoot some photography, but in previous years we've biked along the coast and sea-kayaked through the various inlets and bays. The lack of people and all the different layers of color truly make it a unique place.

Blue Rocks is an old fishing community situated just south of Lunenburg. It's rugged ocean coastline is dotted with century-old fish shacks and new and old homes. the picturesque drive is unforgettable. Go during or just after a storm to fully experience the power of the Atlantic Ocean!

Drove out of town to Blue Rocks. So many scenic places to stop. Took many photos as it is so picturesque! Delicious little ice cream store at the end of the road, near the boat hire store. Need a car.

This small area is scenic and serene, a little out of town (Lunenburg) with many photo ops, stops for artists to capture the beauty. People are friendly and there is a sea kayaking venue available, well worth taking the time to explore. Unspoiled Nova Scotia, a great destination.

Are there any Kayak tours available Saturday May 4th 2019. My partner and I are quite experienced but nowhere for kayaking seems to be open that early in the season. Passing through in am RV from the UK.
Cheers, Jenny

I’m sorry I’m not sure about kayaking but be sure to have a picnic from the general store. It will give the experience something extra
