We stayed at the Marriott which was very good. Lovely area with plenty to see. We found it tranquil, but I'm told it gets pretty busy in the height of season.

Beautiful clean lake. Peaceful . Good spot for fishing, boating, swimming etc. Best part of Muskoka.

Spring is a quiet beautiful time here. No boat traffic. Spring is arriving. Light in the sky until after 9. Great time for walking in the woods, since there are no bugs and you can see into the woods before they become thick with foilage.

Even in the winter, Lake Muskoka does not fail to disappoint. There are nice hiking trails around Lake Hardy and a great restaurant overlooking Lake Muskoka called the Creative Plate, just outside of Gravenhurst.

We went in the winter so it was all frozen. But absolutely stunning and peaceful. Just taking a walk around the lake is good enough in the winter.

Definitely a great place to relax. Have a Cottage up here and go up every year for staying there, fishing, playing outdoor sports, BBQ'ing, motorboating, etc. Always a fun and great place to visit.

Perfect temperatures, bright sunny skies, great trails and beautiful scenery along the fantastic snowmobile trails. What a great way to wind down the season then to share a ride on the trails with family. Great times to remember in these lovely surroundings.

Purchase a back roads map book from Backroad Mapbooks - it will prove invaluable. The books are available online in pdf form or in local stores. You'll need the Cottage Country one. Just about all the roads in the area are... More
