We make Skimmerhorn a regular stop when we are in the Creston area: not only to pick up a supply of great wine (which always runs out before we are back) but to have a super lunch.

Stopped in late in the day and enjoyed the tasting. When we asked if we could buy a bottle and have a glass of it on the deck, they said sure. It was 5pm and they closed at 530 but they let us stay and enjoy the wine and a beautiful view, complete with hummingbirds checking out the feeders on... More

While visiting family in Cranbrook, we were looking for things to do around the area and located this winery in Creston that offered a tour. We were greeted as soon as we entered and offered wine tasting. While waiting for the tour to start we were able to enjoy our favorite glass with an excellent appetizer from their tapas menu... This winery is one of three in the valley, another one is next door. Location is a bit congested in the front end drive. Park in the rear of the winery! The wines are very reasonably priced. They offer both interior and exterior seating to enjoy the food from their cafe.

It was not a sunny day so had to find some tours we could visit. Yay so glad we ended up in Skimmerhorn! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The patio was simply romantic and beautiful. The mountain view, vine yard and the area was gorgeous....Wow! The tour was informative and educational. Had the opportunity to try their ripe grapes...Yummm. Sampled... More

Stopped here after reading Trip Advisor things to do in Creston. Found this beautiful winery with tasting building under gorgeous trees. Free wine tasting of excellent quality wines, we also had a tapas lunch with a glass of chilled wine each on the patio. Staff were well informed and very pleasant. The visit was set off with a humming bird... More

My friend and I went to Skimmerhorn Winery for a tasting. Very friendly service. We decided to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful view from their spacious patio. The view is stunning. You can see for miles...the orchards, the valley and the mountains. I could have sat their all day. We also had tapas. Everything sounded delicious... More

Summer has finally arrived so once again we head to our favorite local wineries for some great tasting wines. Patio was packed as people enjoyed Brie Fondue with some crisp Kootenay Crush White. The new Apple Pie was quite delicious, with very distinct notes on the palate.

Touring the region and decided to make a quick stop at this little winery in Creston. A hidden gem. Beautiful location on hillside, wrap a round tree shaded patio overlooking scenic hills and vineyards. Tasting was informative and fun with other guests and winery staff enjoying and sharing impressions of favourite wines on offer. Small select menu but very tasty... More
