It was such a peaceful walk in the wood! We were alone, we could hear a lots of birds. The trail is easy and well marked. Not a memorable place, but we really enjoyed the calm of the place.

We did the longer track, parts of which are quite uneven but if youre not in a rush (which hopefully you aren't so you can enjoy the great scenery. Not a great variety of birds present while we were there and binoculars are a must to make the most of it but well worth the diversion regardless.

This park is a lovely and quiet spot in Amherst. Birds will eat out of your hand if you come prepared with sunflower seeds. The walk to the water from the parking lot was longer than expected (about 15 mins), but picturesque and worth the time. Not too crowded.

Natural beauty, peaceful. The squirrels and birds there love to be fed. In the past, I have brought my boys to skate and tobogan, now we walk the dog there.

I took my nephew here so we could feed the chickadees. In the winter many people go to do exactly that! I have also been when there is no snow on the ground and it is a nice place to walk around. I am not exactly sure how the trails all connect, but am certain they likely make a loop.
My nephew really liked feeding the chickadees!( I did too)

We stopped in on our trip to Cape Breton hoping to find a few birds. Instead we found people feeding the blackcapped chickadees, which was bothersome considering it was a wildlife preserve. The hiking trails were great and the scenery was beautiful!

Beautiful walking trails and it’s free. Great place to go for a afternoon walk with your friends or family and such a nice place to take pictures. The bird sanctuary is also pet friends, I highly recommend stopping by if you ever pass Amherst.

I decided to visit the sanctuary during the winter. There were lots of icy spots but passable all around the lake and the other trail. It was quiet, clean and full of birds. Love it!

I went to the Glen as it's known to the local people almost everyday in the fall of 2017. The trails can be walked anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour depending upon the paths. Lots of areas to feed birds even from you hand. It is an awesome place to visit. Families, couples or individuals are safe even during hunting seasons. A great place to walk your dog but please pick up after your dog, PLEASE....

Great little spot to take the children for a nature walk. Wild birds will eat right out of your hand and squirrels and chipmunks love it when you bring peanuts with you. we love watching them play and fight over the food you leave them. Makes for a wonderful afternoon walk
