This is a small museum of a fort. In comparison to Fort Walsh on the SK AB border this museum lacks substance. They do a “musical ride” which has local riders not the official Musical Ride offered in Regina. That being said it was done...More

It was an interesting visit to see the fort and how the Mounties lived and created a good relationship with the Indians. There is several displays of weapons and living quarters used by the Mounties.

I have to admit that I am on the Board of the Fort Museum but I whole heartedly believe the Musical Ride is a wonderful aspect of the Fort Museum! It is really exciting to watch the young riders put their horses through various moves...More

Hi Yvonne, thank you for the review! It is always entertaining to see the horse get the better of the rider ;) they sometimes have a Musical Rodeo!

I have only visited this museum on days that the RCMP were not available to do their ride - I would recommend for someone to google this place to find out when the rides are and visit at that time

We visited The Fort with friends on our way to Glacier National Park. The cost was $16 each to walk around at your own pace through the compound. Lots of Canadian Mountie history. My favorite things were the tenants rules posting inside the Kanouse House...More

We toured southern Alberta instead of burning our dirty fossil fuels in BC this year, and this was a wonderful stop. We had three g kids under twelve and they thoroughly enjoyed the fort as well as the museum displays. They had learned much about...More

An informative museum with lots of exhibits and old buildings to wander around. The musical ride is pretty good and you are permitted to visit the horses in the stables. Worth a visit.
