20 mins cycle ride or 10 mins moto tuktuk from Prachuap town this is both a lovely beach and a real Thai experience. Deck chairs, 10 baht a day, neatly arranged around low tables under overlapping umbrellas for shade. People renting chairs bring a menu and bring whatever you order to your table right on the beach. You can eat,... More

The beach is nice, clean and the sunbeds fair priced. You can buy food and water near by or at the beach.

very disappointed with the beach as we had been told that it was one of the top 10 beaches in the world. It was hard sand & dirty. The food courf opposite was good & very cheap

I just love this place. Small waves, clean water, good seafood delivered to your chair at normal prices. Hire an inner tube for 20 baht. Deck chairs are 10 baht. Great shade from big trees. No touts, no hassles at all. A fantastic afternoon guaranteed!

If in this area of thailand or just pasing by, this is with out question the best beach for a long way. Quiet and very calm. Ao manao means lime in thai, the bay is round with a island protecting it from waves. Good for young children. Bring your passport. If unlucky you have to show it att the gates.... More

By Thai standards just average.... Still a wonderful little bay just a few kilometers from Prachuap Khiri Khan...... 10 minutes by bicycle... Set inside an air force base! Loads of deck chairs under pines to keep you cool..... Toilets and restaurants in abundance by road.... Quiet and calm ....

Ideal in hot season. PKK gets very hot as from March and Ao bay offers shade and trees to hang the hammock and escape the heat. Little people during the week. Popular with Thai during weekends and holidays. You need to enter the Wing 5 army base to get to the beach. If you come by motorcycle you will be... More

The see is calm and shallow, the beach is extremely clean (located on a military base, it gets a military grade clean-up every week, they say) and the view on the surrounding bay is the best. We loved every second.
