The Gondola is the fastest way to the top. However if it is windy, they may stop running it. Hope for good weather on the day you ride!

We've now done this thrice in 16 months! Pros: - Gorgeous views, gentle ascent - Plenty of parking - Well-maintained rides - Polite service Cons - A tad pricey - Can get uncomfortably chilly from Sep-April if not warmly attired

If you love nature and it's beautiful landscape, then this is a sight for you. As soon as you exit the gondola, you're greeted by an amazing view of Mt. Rainier. You won't believe how close the view is. Personally, I could have easily sat there all day enjoying the views.

A scenic morning drive from Seattle landed us at the Crystal Mountain Resort, where we took the Gondola up. Gorgeous views, simply breathtaking, of Mount Rainier (my first love in this city!) and Mount Adams. Friends of ours from out of town who didn't check with us hiked inside the Mt. Rainier Park (within which this is located) but never... More

The gondola ride and lunch at the restaurant at the top was definitely a highlight of our couple of days in Mt Rainier. The views are incredible!! And sitting in the outdoor patio of the restaurant and looking at Mt Rainier and others was the best.

The gondola ride lasts about 12 minutes and is incredible. When you exit you see an awesome site of Mt. Rainier--we were there on a sunny day and it couldn't have been better!!

The sun was out so we headed there to catch the gondola before it shut down, awaiting the snow season. Fantastic views! We enjoyed the restaurant with great food and really good service. Actually surprised about that. The view of Mt. Rainier was awesome. Other mountains were also visible: Mt. Adams and St. Helens in the distance. We are looking... More

An absolute must see if you are in the Seattle area. A bit of a drive but beautiful scenery along the way. The view at the top was breathtaking and if you can stay to eat, do it! Food is a bit pricey but very good.
