Blundon house is a wonderfully preserved example of the merchant class style of house that arose back in the early Fishing Industry of this province. You will see some lovely antiques and be rewarded with a great view of the town below. While you can drive to the House you might find yourself on the wharf below and choose to take the steps leading up to the house. They have since created a great drive in Lookout above the town and house. The drive down into this unique fishing town location is one of a kind. After your tour of the House do take some time to walk, about this lovely location. Back in the Fishing days of the Cod, you don’t get much closer to the fishing grounds as this is.

We had a wonderful visit to the Blunden house. The house is an example of a 19th century merchant residence and contains some beautiful antiques and artifacts from that time period. The ladies who showed the house were friendly and knowledgeable, and were wonderful hostesses as we toured the property. The “icing on the cake” came at the end when we were offered a cup of tea and homemade buns. We sat in the kitchen and chatted to the ladies, and had a thoroughly great time. I highly recommend a visit to the Heritage Premises when in the area.

Very interesting Museum house in small Newfoundland town. Drive to Bay de Verde and around town is quite nice in itself. Heritage Premises is lovely insight to past history of villiage and its people. Tea or coffee and tea biscuit after was very nice along with chat with local ladies working the tour.

The Blundon house is an example of Merchant Class Victorian housing. The museum is informative and the staff knowledgeable. There are stairs leading up the side of the hill to this spot & also parking by the building.

Never been to a heritage exhibit that was done so well. Each room is has it's own reference catalogue to ever item and who donated it. Staff were nice and there to assist.

Discovered this place while out for a day trip. Interesting place manned by locals. Very picturesque area depicting Newfoundland life outside the big cities.

Bay de Verde is the last stop on this highway and the Blundon House is worth a visit. You'll see a snapshot of island life and the fishing industry. Friendly staff and very informative. Stop in!

Excellent heritage exhibition. Tour Guide explained to us all her relatives on the photos on display. Very interesting & comprehensive exhibition of the way of life prior to 1960 in Bay de Verde

What a wonderful treat to find this heritage house to visit in Bay de Verde. There is a great collection of historical items related to the fishing industry. A terrific tour offered for a nominal entrance fee. It was a very impressive experience - don't miss it.

It's nice to walk along the trails and see how the fishing community worked and get a sense of it's history. Great views and opportunity for photography.
