Just a cave? I think not!

Boat ride is a bit redundant to me but the cool Breeze against your face is definitively pleasant. Right after the boat ride, we were lead inside the caves. Formation and lighting is cool. For those who has difficulty walking you may engAge the local to carry you around at a cost.

I wasn't exactly over the moon when my friends said we were going to a cave. I was wrong. I think it's the most beautiful place I've been at. The boat ride is unreal...very calm, tranquil, and gorgeous. Yes, be prepared to walk. A lot. And more than a lot. Like a whole whole lot. Be prepared to walk UP... More

We first started off with a quick 10 to 15 minutes boat ride to see the gorge. This was then followed by the attraction local guide bringing us into the caves to explore further. According to the local guide, the long walk was an estimated 300+ stairs up and another 400+ stairs down so you need to be physically fit... More

This attraction is also known as the Jiuxiang Karst Cave. We took a lift down 30 levels to descend into the valley and then took a short 10 minutes boat trip to see the valley in a different dimension. Thereafter, we proceeded into the cave and saw a hall area that can accommodate 1500 people, 2 powerful waterfalls with strong... More

To get there I took the intercity bus to Yiliang from Kunming East station (which takes 1hr) and then the number 21 minibus from Yiliang to Jiuxiang (1 hour). The scenic area was beautiful. I don't regret making the journey. It was a wonderful natural wonder! I would wear grippy shoes, because the caves are quite slippery. I would not... More

As long as you don't visit during national holidays, then be ready for the crowd! On this visit, it was not too bad so even in narrow staircases you have to compete with those sedan-chair for hire (same type you find in Tiger Leaping Gorge in Shangri-La), it was still manageable. The visit was pleasant because it is underground mostly,... More

The Jiuxiang caves were absolutely spectacular. The caves full of all kinds of stalagmites, rapids, and water eroded lime formations are wonders to the eye. We did not realise it took so much energy to go up, down and across the wet, slippery and steep terrain. The journey out of the caves was most challenging - we had already become... More

Jiuxiang is a spectacular gorge and cave complex, with an underground river running through it. It is large and cavernous, and the lighting effects really enhance the scenery. Lots of up and down walking, and stone steps are very slippery, so be careful! Sadly, the boat ride wasn't available during our visit due to unusually high water levels, but this... More

This is a place for nature lover. The view is so nice. But when you walk around, must be very careful, as the walking path is slippery.

This unique attraction provides you a nice boat ride in the deep gorge exploring beautiful lit up stalactites, stalagmites and rock pillars in the underground cave and Cixiong Waterfall. Have a cable car ride to see part of the scenic region from up high afterwards. This is a place for photographers, adventurers and nature lovers. A place that should not... More
