Tanya spoke to my Rotary Club (Festival City Rotary in Stratford). She is an amazing motivational speaker. She told us about their families passion for Dogsledding and about Hanks races. When I told my wife that we should go and try out dogsledding with them it was an easy yes for her. All our questions were answered during the booking process and they guided us to find accomodation. Their son Dustyn was our guide on Saturday and even with -20 degree temperatures he made it a fun and learing experience. We stopped half way for hot chocolate and cookies made by his mom. The dogs are beautiful, energetic, fun and loving. They enjoy your attention and pats. I cant say enough about our experience other than... bring your family... as I am sure they will love it too! Everything about our experience was incredible. From booking, to the pre-arrival instructions provided, the welcome we received from the staff and dogs, and then the tour itself! We felt so prepared after our dogsledding tutorial and were so excited that we were able to be so hands on with the dogs! We were the last sled on the tour, but the guides were so attentive - checking in that we were doing okay, even stopped to take some pics of us. You can tell the dogs are so loved and pride of ownership in the family-run business is evident throughout the whole experience. If you think this is a bucket list, do once, activity - you might be mistaken! We are hooked and can’t wait to come back!

Our family visited Winterdance Dogsled Tours January 7th, 2022. This was truly an amazing experience for myself, husband and kids as well as our extended family. The owners are beyond knowledgeable about these beautiful dogs and about dogsledding. When we arrived, they were so friendly and welcoming. Their passion for this special Canadian winter activity/sport shows. They did a thorough lesson on how to safely handle the sled and dogs and because of this, I was confident driving a sled on my own with my twin girls in the sled. My husband had his own sled with our son. The guides lead the way and are there to help support you should you need help. I could have done it all day but my kids toes got pretty cold (despite wearing proper warm boots) since they were just passengers and not moving too much. Definitely dress appropriately and bring warm blankets for passengers! The dogs bark and howl with excitement in anticipation before the tour. They are also lovely gentle dogs that we enjoyed petting and getting to know their names before the tour began. The scenery is gorgeous too! This is a must do experience in the winter when in this beautiful part of Ontario! We will be back for sure!

We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to live this true Canadian experience! What we noticed mostly was the respect and love that the Winterdance family has for their dogs. It was very moving to be able to share the passion of this family by living a half day dogsledding experience. Right from the warm greeting from Barb as we respected the Covid protocols, the training, meeting our dogs (Galaxy and Clooney were so loving and friendly!) and then mushing alongside the experienced guides, every moment was memorable. The views of the Muskokas will never be the forgotten as well as the happy sounds of the dogs who loved every minute of our time together. Thank you for welcoming our family into yours!

Donna, thank you for joining us this Holiday Season! We are so lucky to have such amazing clients. Our guides (and family) thoroughly enjoyed taking your family out on the trails for a 1/2 day. Barb is an amazing lady and we are so grateful to have her as part of our extended family. I will be sure to give Galaxy and Clooney a hug for you. It was Galaxy's birthday yesterday. :) From our family to yours all the best in 2022!! Thank you again for letting us share our world with you.
