We’ve been to a few mural towns on our road trip across North America and I reckon this one has been the best. Park on Main Street and go for a walk; the murals are plentiful and easy to find. I especially liked the one of the British Royal Family on Queen Street!

The Sussex murals have become well-known, and they are worth looking at - and not only the ones on main street, but scattered around town.

Great mural but many need repair and upkeep a worthwhile tour for any person or visitor. Some items seen are not listed such as Marg Osbourne.

You can drive around and watch out for the murals. The murals are quite numerous and well done. The bright murals add some local color to an old fashioned downtown.

Bright, colorful murals depicting the history of Sussex and area. We took about an hour strolling around town enjoying them, my favorite was the hockey one above the Subway.

Great doable side trip on the way to or from St. John, about 45 minutes northerly. About 2 dozen murals within walking distance of the charming visitor center/ ice cream shop in an old train station. Sully’s ice cream had about a half dozen very tasty and unique local flavors, and maybe the best ice cream of the trip! The visitor center is a pretty extensive military museum if you are interested. The walking tour is self-guided with the very worthwhile $2 brochure, takes you past a few cute restaurants, shops, an outdoor market and an unforgettable antique store. About a 20 minute round trip drive are the 3 nearby covered bridges if that suits your interest. Well worth a quick ~2-3 hour side trip on your way elsewhere. hidden gem!

The mural of downtown Sussex were a surprise bonus while we en-route to New Horton. We parked at the train station visitor center and then walked to nearly all of the murals. Made for a great way to stretch our legs before more travelling and to see the history of the area in art form. The staff at the visitor center were friendly and helpful.

These murals are colorful and add character to the city... as others have suggested, it's worth parking and walking around a bit to enjoy them.

Murals on so many downtown buildings really add to the character of Sussex. It is better to take a walking tour, rather than just take a quick glance while driving by. (safer too!)

These murals are beautifully done. Easy to find while walking or driving around this quiet town, then just check the city and area map available from the tourist office to find the ones you missed. They tell a super story about the early history of Sussex. Especially enjoyed the creativity of the hockey mural.
