I had never been to Fort Langley before and it was so delightful to do this tour. I started at a beautiful boutique for cakes and tea (and I had so much food I had to take a doggie bag). I then went to the Fort and people there gave me personal insights and I learned a ton. It wasn't busy that day so maybe that was why I had such a great experience but it was really interesting. The Indigenous cafe wasn't operating at full capacity so I didn't get to try their food but the owner still shared her story and I bought some lovely jam for a gift.
I had some time to wander around before my next stop and Fort Langley is such a cute place!
The chocolate place was wonderful and the tasting was a delight. I also really enjoyed the last stop - the owner was personable and the sun was shining and I feel very special. Having the tote bag was key so that business owners recognized that I was part of Chew On This Tasty Tours.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes to hear about personal business stories and try different tastes.... I also liked that I was supporting local businesses.
I know that all tours are varied as it depends on the service but I felt incredibly special at each business and my value for money was there...lots of tastings, lots of insights and nice to hear personal stories.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the District 1881 Chew On This Tasty Tour in Chilliwack recently with my mom. We had a lovely day exploring and tasting our way through this charming new area of Chilliwack. We opted for a self-guided tour and were provided a detailed, easy to follow itinerary. Each stop offered a different experience. All hosts were welcoming and happy to share information about the food, their establishment and the area. We savoured and sipped our way around the area and discovered many places that we will most certainly return to. The leisurely pace allowed for spontaneous discoveries as well, with opportunities to explore some great shops as well as admire the many art murals in the area. I would recommend this tour for a group of friends, family get together, or a date day. It was an amazing experience to share with my mom.

We have seen you bring friends on tour, your husband and this time it was great to see you and your Mom on the DIG IN & DISCOVER Chilliwack's District 1881 tour.
We loved hearing about your experience of the area from long before this new area was established. As a local to the area we hope that your Mom will continue to return to the area on her own and that when you come out that you will revisit some of the businesses that we introduced you to!

Three of us did the Maple Ridge Local Gold tour created by Lise the owner of Chew on this Tasty Tours. We don't live too far from Maple Ridge, but close enough to call ourselves somewhat local. The tour is self guided, but Lise emails the itinerary with easy directions and details a day or two before. Every business on the tour was prepared for our arrival with stories and treats. We had the best time experiencing and discovering businesses that we may have never tried. Lise met us at our first stop to introduce herself and provided us with a carry bag for each of us to put any of our purchases in. We were so impressed the business owner's stories of how they started, and the amazing food they provided for us to try. These tours are highly recommended with just a group of friends or even businesses looking for a team building experience. Lise is quick to reply to any questions you may have pre tour. My friends and I are already planning which Chew on this Tasty Tour we would like to do next. Thanks Lise for a memorable day.

I have to say this is my very first negative review I ever wrote, I am very sorry, but I believe reviews needs to be fair and representative of the services received as personally I make decisions many times based on other people' reviews.
We did the Langley food tour in August 2024. While the tour started very promising at the first location (the high tea was excellent and kudos to the location) however as we moved towards the next locations it was a disappointment after a disappointment. Participating locations, except the first one were not prepared at all, even surprised of us appearing at their premises and we needed to explain everywhere why we are there. It was a complete waste of time and money not to mention price per person was ridiculously expensive, I had such high hopes. I brought my family for the food tour as I did a food tour in 2023 in Kelowna and was the best food tour experience (about $75/pp) so I wanted for them to experience something similar.
The last location was horrible, complete joke. We waited for a burger the size of a small mandarin and some watery drinks for almost 1h 30 min, unbelievable, and that was already past their busy time. What was supposed to be a great family time turned into a disaster and our day was completely ruined and wasted by all the negative experiences we have been offered.
I would not recommend at all.

Hi Lilyana. Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest review of your experience on tour. Although I am proud to say that in the almost five years of business we have never had a review close to one like this, the fact that you said your day was ruined matters to me.
Our tour hosts in Fort Langley are typically very prepared and welcoming, even excited to welcome our guests. The other reviews you see here are from real guests like yourself. Time after time we hear from guests how much value they feel they received. As a business owner who has invested her money, time and heart into supporting small, local businesses through these experiences, reading your review was jarring. We are accustomed to our guests talking about what a great time they had long after to their tour; definitely not anything like the unfortunate experience that you had. When I established this business I never imagined that I could ruin someone's day as a result of what I created. Please look for an email that I have sent to you, requesting the opportunity to make things right. I look forward to the chance to provide you with the calibre of tour that consistently welcomes repeat guests and is more than 85% word of mouth referrals from very happy customers.

This was the Toronto event with Chef Miheer Shete at Curryish Tavern and I was blown away by his talent to bring East Indian food made locally to suit our season. What a fantastic experience. The guests that were with us knew the Vancouver experience and only had great reviews so I look forward to my BC experience. Thank you very much.

Our time spent with the Chew on This Tasty Tour was a delight!
From our first stop to our final destination the experience was not only educational it was delicious and satisfying too!
The Chilliwack community is very welcoming and the city has done a stellar job with the planning of District 1881.
I personally love a good walking tour and I recommend the Chew on This Tasty Tours with confidence!

We so enjoyed meeting the chefs and staff at each stop and exploring this huge diverse neighborhood. We were so warmly welcomed at each restaurant. The food was amazing. The quality and superb presentation of each dish was so special and unique, served with so much pride, with ratings so well deserved. Service went above and beyond. Each restaurant supports so many people which then extends out to the community. Lise met us to make sure all was going well and brought a surprise tote. A most wonderful day. Thank you so much to each and everyone of you for sharing your dishes and journey with us so generously. We can’t wait to visit again and are telling everyone we know to take the tour!

Went on the Fort Langley tour a while back and absolutely loved it! Had a blast exploring the wonderful small businesses that this town has to offer.
We first started the tour at Kizmit Gift Gallery, a shop that features the work of many local Vancouver artists. The owner Carole was super sweet and told us her story and mission.
Our next stop was at Elaine Brewer-White Studio to learn about the pottery world. We got a chance to get our hands dirty to make our own pieces to keep!
There was an food intermission where Alysa and her team from Down 2 Earth Plant Parlour catered a wonderful all vegan meal, and even cocktails. Everything was delicious!
This tour truly embodies both art and culinary gems of Langley. Lise, along with all her partners are all so passionate and love what they do.
It was lovely discovering these hidden gems, and playing tourist in our own city for a day. I highly recommend this for anyone who's looking for a fun activity to do!

We did the Local Flavour tour in Fort Langley yesterday. It was awesome! Our charming hostess (Lise) met us with individual tote bags at our first stop, The Little White House - which was a full on high tea! Delicious and generous! In fact, every stop was met with gracious hosts, very tasty and/or beautiful samples and large portions. Between stops we checked out Fort Langley (also included in the day), and other shops. Fort Langley is a great spot. We ended the day at Valley Commons with a flight of wines and an amazing salmon charcuterie board. We area a family of four - with an older teen and young adult in tow. They loved it too! A great way to spend the day eating, laughing, shopping and hanging out with family and friends. The tour is allotted 5.5 hours and we did it in less.
