Wow, what a wonderful place to visit. Super friendly volunteers, a nice trip into history, very interesting shop tour, and a well stocked gift shop to finish off. I will be back!

My little grandson loves trains. I was looking for things to do with him one day and came across the heritage railway. the train we rode was the old interurban that ran in the 1950`s. My grandson loved it. He loved waving at the people as we went by and seeing the tractors etc in the fields. He was almost 3 at the time. so trip was just the right time to keep him occupied the whole time. This would be wonderful for folks who lived in the area at the time the interurban ran. I bet it would bring back lots of memories.I plan to take my Mom this year.

We went for Christmas Train with my family. It was really a terrible experience. The train did not go for the full length of the rail to Sullivan Station!! Instead, it was just run back and forth, only few meters from/to Cloverdale Station with visit to Santa workstation in another warehouse. All we see from the windows is ugly scenes, mostly rear building of Clover Square Village Mall. Absolutely not worth of the money. IT IS A SCAM!!

This is a simple heritage railway line, a small museum and a joy train ride. They are open only on Saturdays and Sundays and they have five scheduled runs on each of those days from Cloverdale station to Sullivan station and back. Presently there is no disembarkation permitted at Sullivan but I was chatting up with a volunteer at the museum and he mentioned that they have plans to add a disembarkation point there. The carriage I rode in was made in 1912 and it was indeed fascinating to know the history behind the railway line. The ride is slow, lasts around 50 minutes and is quite fun. Children and railway enthusiasts will definitely love it. The ticket for the ride is $20, and the train does not have washrooms so you'd better use one available at the station before embarking!
The museum is insightful, it provides a glimpse into the history of interurban rail transport in Vancouver area with some photographs and a timetable from 1950s.There is free parking adjacent to the station. A special note of thanks to all the volunteers who staff the station and the train, they deserve a lot of appreciation!

I treated some family friends to this little gem and we were not disappointed. The rise was great and the subsequent tour was excellent. The museum and archives really complement the tram ride and the people involed are all volunteers and what great folks they are!!! I'll be back when they extend the line to Newton!

I took the grandkids along to experience a ride on the 106 year old train at weekend. Not only were they in complete awe of the historical ride going over a river and being able to wave to the car drivers as we crossed over Highway 10, they were enthralled by the interactivities at the Cloverdale Station's Discovery Centre. There is so much to see and do including ringing bells, blowing whistles, watching a video, seeing pictures of the historical routes used by the old service but, most importantly for kids of all ages, a ride on the speeder and velocipede. Tours of the Discovery Centre are an additional charge to the ride on the train but absolutely worth the extra cost and time. In all, with a look in the museum, a ride on the fabulous old train and a tour of the Discovery Centre, my grandkids summed up the whole day in one word. Brilliant!

It was very good hour tram ride. Don’t go for the view, corn fields, blueberry, but the intererban car ride and the history of the itererban was well with the cost. All people who help, refurbished the intererban, worked on the tram and interpret along the 59 minute ride were very professional. Thank to all had a great time. They also had a small museum, Wilber back.

Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society in Surrey, BC.
We had a lovely time Saturday, July 14, 2018. Our 3 y/o daughter loves trains and we had seen the train a couple month prior (I think they were preparing and maybe advertising) going down the tracks as we drove along side them.
The volunteers were all very lovely. There were a lot of them, probably 10+ people. I was at first sticker shocked at the admission prices but the train ride was almost an hour. The commentary from one of the volunteers was great. He provided a lot of history and facts on the first half of the stretch. It was a bit of a long ride for our daughter, she was good to go after the first 20 mins. There are also no washrooms onboard once you leave the station, obviously, so you have to make sure you go before you leave.
They had a simulator that you could drive while you waited for your train to depart. She really enjoyed that!
I’d recommend this attraction if you can afford it. It cost us $50 for our family of three. Adults are $20 & kids 2-11 years are $10.

We took my elderly parents on this train today, thinking it might bring back memories. It's an electric trolley style car that used to run in the early to mid 1900's, and is beautifully restored and run well by enthusiastic and knowledgeable people. The ride however, is uninteresting and bland as far as the scenery goes. Highways, a bit of farmland and a trip across a very narrow river, out to a point on the track and then right back the way you came. Go for the trolley, the history and the experience. Don't go for great scenery! Parking is free, tickets are a reasonable price but was disappointed that they were charging an additional fee for the barn. We didn't pay the extra, and left instead.
