Bread pudding Dessert was really good with local Blueberries! Amazing service. Snack to continue our adventure road trip. Lobster potatoe chips. - CaseyCheshNashua, New Hampshire66 contributionsSurprisingly Worth the Trip!It sounds crazy. It sounds silly. Travel to the other side of the island and make a stop at a potato museum. BUT it is actually worth it! I had heard it was a museum + restaurant combo and I was not disappointed. Believe it or not, potatoes have a fascinating history and the museum was actually really cool. I know, I know, it feels crazy to write that! All sorts of old machinery and interactive elements even had the kids entertained. There was even a virtual farming video game set up. And all of that museum-ing gets you ready for the restaurant. All kinds of poutine and baked potato dishes. A TOTAL YUM experience and left us very very FULL and HAPPY. We walked some of it off by going back through the museum. I recommend the pulled pork poutine as well as the loaded baked potato!Visited August 2023Written August 21, 2023

- Michael GSpring Valley, California13 contributionsEverything you ever wanted to know about a potato, and then someWho would know there’s entire museum dedicated to the common spud? Lots of exhibits on the history of potatoes, the science of hybrids, cultivation, plant diseases, and PEI potato history, plus a whole wing for farm equipment. Don’t miss eating at the restaurant. Come hungry, leave stuffed. (Couldn’t resist the pun.). Just don’t ask for tator-tots, that’s an Idaho invention.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2023

Nothing too crazy here. Old potato equipment that hasn’t been used in 100 years. I did like the potato display showing different diseases. As a potato farmer myself I was excited to check this place out. After going I could have skipped it. If you’re in O’Leary check it out, if not I would skip it. Go to a real farm, a lot better experience.

Very neat exhibits and the equipment in the back is what we really wanted to see. Add to that the cafe! Oh my! what a place! Try the pie!

Museum was reasonably price. Free parking on site. Small museum with history of the area on one side and small museum with potato-related information on the other. Reasonably priced gift shop on site. Also on site is a cafe where you can get baked potatoes, fries, etc. Food there was good and reasonably priced and service was good.

Very interesting place. Especially as they focused in Peru-where my wife is from. Very cool displays of potatoes. A great way to spend a rainy day on PEI!
