Lovely walk in the woods. Cool shade then exposed sunny rocky areas overlooking the lighthouse. I will admit to being directionally challenged and would have liked a bit more signage. But obviously I made it out!😊

It's tough to get a very good view of the lighthouse. Instead of the main view area, I recommend going down to the rocks of the East Beach for your best view. Also, be aware that the trails on the east side of the park (Arbutus, Valley of the Giants) are a definite hiking experience with rough, forest trails and... More

Fabulous walk through some "Giants" that ends with stunning, panoramic views of Burrard from the North Shore mountains to Point Grey and beyond. Various spur trails offer different vantage points of the Lighthouse and surrounding landscape. The main trail is accessible, but with some steep grades. You can get here by public transit -- it is a fair hike into... More

This hike was good for old growth forest, views of boats on the water, and the lighthouse. The trails are well marked and have a few areas of rocks and exposed roots to step through. The terrain is a little steep at times. We visited on a Saturday midday and saw several people on the trail. The drive to the... More

Took the most direct route - Beacon Lane Trail - a relatively easy hike but with moderate elevation on the way back. Photo shoot atop the rocks is optional. Always loved the lighthouse view - just wish I could get closer. Lots of trails to explore - we only did the Beacon Lane this time but will definitely be back.... More

We took the Beacon Lane Trail which is touted as the "direct route to the lighthouse viewpoint", unfortunately most of the view is blocked by the trees. For the best view, take the trail to the East beach on Starboat Cove. It is probably one of the most picturesque lighthouse in the area, somewhat resembles to Peggy Cove in the... More

We drove but it is possible to get there by public transport. We enjoyed a sunset picnic after a lovely walk through the forest. Take a torch if you're planning to come back after dark. Lovely evening out!

Take the 257 bus from Georgia St, half an hour you're there. Beautiful old growth forest, rocky coastline and great views, bring a picnic!
