I promised to write this years ago and never got around to it. Mark Finney is an amazing fisherman and he created an incredible day of fishing for us, especially for my 12 year old son. He is now 15 and still talks about all of the salmon that he caught during that 3 hour fishing trip. All other fishing trips have paled in comparison. Mark is thoughtful, patient, skilled and just a great host on the water. I would look for him for another wonderful day of fishing! We went out in August 2019 and will never forget our special experience! Look for Watermark Fishing Charters our of West Vancouver - a short trip from downtown Vancouver!

Had an unbelievable day on the water with Mark and Watermark Salmon Fishing Charters. Very professional and knowledgeable guide. We all limited out and went home with tons of salmon! Highly recommend Watermark!

If anyone is ever looking for a fishing charter Mark at Watermark Salmon Fishing charters is the guy. We hit our limit in 2hrs. Every time I fish with Mark we hit our limit while the boats around us are lucky to have 1fish. Thanks again Mark for a great morning.

I don’t often leave reviews, but when you have a truly amazing experience I felt this time it was worth sharing.
We went sockeye salmon fishing with Mark from Watermark Fishing Charters out of West Vancouver, BC. We were on the water for only 2 hours and had caught our limit of 16 beautiful sockeye salmon (4 per person) before most other boats had caught their first fish. Other guides around us were asking Mark what he was doing to catch so many fish so fast ... I can’t make this stuff up.
Watermark Fishing has a beautiful 32 foot boat which makes you feel like you are standing on solid ground vs being thrashed around by the ocean on smaller boats.
Mark is the ultimate professional. I’ve fished with a number of guides over the last decade on the west coast. I will only fish with Mark and Watermark Fishing from here on in.

Fishing with Mark at Watermark Salmon Fishing Charters was so much fun. Mark is a great guy. He is an awesome coach and gives you the confidence to get fish to the boat. He is very knowledgeable and just an all around great guide. He holds great conversation and always in a positive mood. I would recommend a trip to anyone. We drove up from the states and we will definitely be headed back up there to charter with him again. If you're looking for a good guide, then give Mark a call.

We were fortunate enough that Mark had availability on Saturday morning to take us out on the water to try our luck. Within an hour we had caught our limit! Such an amazing day with a fantastic guide. Mark is extremely knowledgeable, explaining his methods for each of his downriggers and how they all work together. Fishing is WAY more of an art than I ever expected! Hearing him talk to the other boats, we were the only one seeing any action...clearly his methods work!! The Watermark is a beautiful and comfortable boat and we even got to snuggle with Mark's adorable dog Honey when she came up from her pillow below deck! All around an amazing day on the water that ended with a freezer full of salmon. Can't recommend highly enough, we'll definitely be back!

I had the chance to fish with Mark of Watermark Salmon Fishing Charters again. He never disappoints me. Great conversations, excellent fishing, beautiful boat - it didn't matter that the weather was not the best. If you have some free time while you are in Vancouver I would highly recommend a trip with Watermark!!

I was looking for something to do on my trip to Vancouver ? i decided to call Watermark to see if there was any chance i could get out on the water? Mark responed very quickly and explained that the tides were just right in the next hours !! So i rushed out to the Marina where his boat was docked! The first thing i noticed is that I lucked out !! His boat was the best boat I've been on and was completely geared out with top equipment and tackle. His knowledge of the area was evident right away and I was impressed.....In our first pass of his chosen hotspot we hit a quad (4 fish on!!!!) we landed 3 of 4 and fished for the next 3 hours catching a total of 6 spring salmon. We released all 6 and could of kept 1. It was a great expierence and I learned a bunch about fishing in that area. Very thankful that Mark was so flexible and helpful to take me out on such short notice.

It was a great day and glad we could hit that tide. We got into some nice fish and you got to see a lot of Howe Sound. if you make it back this summer with your family we can enjoy another day on the water and hopefully we have a full day. Awesome day out on flat calm water with Mark...boat is clean and comfortable. Always my first choice and the best choice on the west coast!!! Great experience!!! Great boat and better guide!!!

My family of 5 had a great day out with Mark this summer. He was very professional, but also very personable to chat with. He has a beautiful, clean boat, and state-of-the-art navigation and he knows what works. The day we were out, no one else in the area was catching anything but we were constantly getting bites, and my 10 year old caught his first salmon! We wouldn't hesitate to go with Mark again, and my husband and dad are hoping to out with him again next summer. Money well spent! Highly recommend.

It was a great day on the water and it was great to see your 10yr old get his first salmon. Even the swim with your daughter was a blast. Hope to see you guys again when you are in town and we can get out for another fish.
