Seamless booking process after organising a private tour which doesn’t necessarily run this time of year. Our guide Ben was a perfect blend experience, expertise and fun whilst being relaxed and catering to our every need. We were able to push our limits whilst feeling safe and secure. A trip of a lifetime in the real wilds of Canada.

Whether it's NZ or Canada, what you get with Yoho Adventures is an amazing adventure, fantastic leadership, support, and encouragement to fulfill those lifetime travel dreams. Yes, another great trip (my fifth) admirably led by Ben & Cristina, who never fail to provide a unique wilderness experience for their guests. Their expertise in leading small groups off the usual well-trodden tourist paths and into the backcountry of Canada is second to none. Their friendship, encouragement, support, careful planning, and safe guidance ensures every group member reaches a new level of personal achievement and goes home invigorated by their wonderful outdoor adventure.
Ben has an amazing knowledge of the backcountry & a sixth sense when it comes to guiding. Cristina is a great match for Ben, a fantastic leader in her own right, but is happy to put herself at the back of the group as necessary in order to support those less able on the day. They are always bright & cheerful, and full of life & love for their jobs. I highly recommend Yoho Adventures for unique wilderness travel.

We spent a magical 7 days with Yoho Adventures on the Cariboo Chilcontin Coast trip in beautiful British Colombia this past August and cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. Every moment of the trip far succeed our expectations -- the scenery, the wildlife, the fresh air, .. and the food!!! Cristina and Ben go over the top -- there is no detail they havent thought of. They take you along the road less travelled so you dont feel like you're on yet another tourist trip and are so knowledgeable about all of their surroundings. Truly a unique experience, one we will forever remember. We will most definitely book another trip with Cristina & Ben and are already planning our next vacation to New Zealand to do some single track mountain biking with them!

I traveled with Yoho Adventures on their Coast Mountain Getaway in British Columbia in August 2016. I was looking for an adventure that would get me out into the beautiful backcountry of British Columbia, but without all of the burdens of backpacking, such as lugging a tent. I also was going to be traveling alone, and didn’t think it would be safe to hike in the backcountry by myself, so I was looking for a group.
Through a feature in Outside Magazine, I found Yoho Adventures, an outfitter who specializes in outdoor adventures in British Columbia. I did their Coastal Mountain Getaway, which is a small group adventure in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast. The trip took us to two places (1) Wilderness Lake (a lake in the middle of a wilderness setting in the Cariboo Chilcotin Mountains), and (2) Bella Coola (a stunning lush river valley a couple hours to the west of Wilderness Lake).
This was an outstanding trip. The Wilderness Lake portion of the trip got us into true pristine wilderness, with amazing hiking and gorgeous views at every turn. During the days, we enjoyed hikes into different parts of the mountains surrounding our base cabin. At night, we slept in a comfortable cabin. Yoho Adventures took care of all of the food arrangements, allowing us to focus on the beauty of this amazing untouched area. Our guides (Ben and Cristina) were seasoned hikers, with amazing fitness and wilderness know how, but they adjusted our hikes to the fitness level of the group (which was relatively fit, but not super fit).
The Getaway Adventure also took us to Bella Coola (after the portion at Wilderness Lake). Bella Coola is a lightly populated stunning valley with silver mountains, lush rain forests, turquoise waters and jagged fjords (the valley is on the coast and meets inlets running in from the ocean). Here, we did some more hiking and took a float down a gorgeous river to look for grizzly bears. While in Bella Coola, we spotted both grizzly bears and black bears.
Our group in total consisted of 6 guests and 2 guides. I knew no one before the trip but quickly made friends with everyone, including our guides, who made every effort to make me feel at home, and throughout the trip did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable and comfortable.
This was a truly awesome experience, and gave me a great appreciation for the beauty of British Columbia. If you are an outdoor enthusiast who wants a basic level of comfort while getting off the beaten path in a gorgeous wilderness setting, I would highly recommend this trip.

You definitely experienced the heart of what we aim to provide our guests with; a unique soul enriching adventure experience into hard to access wilderness areas :) The group was a splendid mix of hikers from all over, and we nejoyed creating a family style experience for you all. A girlfriend and I did this trip and had such a great time. The scenery is unreal! Ben and Cristina do such a great job with this trip, everything was really well done and they are so fun to spend time with, just great people. The food was amazing. The float plane flights were awesome. You have no idea how expansive those mountains and glaciers are until you see them from the sky! And seeing grizzly bears and their cubs up close on the float trip was the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this trip, you're in good hands with Ben and Cristina. I hope to get to do it again one day.

I agree that seeing Grizzly bears in the wild is just so special :) Although we can't guarantee that we will always see them on our tours, we do our very best to ensure our guests get the opportunity to , with our favourite Bear Biologists and locals. A girlfriend and I signed up for this 7 Day Coast Mountain Getaway in September 2016 (4 others were in the group). I live in the Rocky Mountains of Utah, but this experience was unlike anything I have ever done. High adventure float plane into the backcountry of the Chicotin Mountains + gorgeous hiking in the untouched wilderness + amazing food provided by the guides + a night in Bella Coola to see the Grizzly Bears & float the river. It's amazing.
Guides Ben & Cristina are what made this trip extraordinary. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable. They adjust the hikes to the level of the group. One day half of us went to the top with Ben and Cristina stayed back with the others. It's best to be fit, but don't stress about competing - everyone is on their own journey. Ben & Cristina will not disappoint. I would definitely do this again. It's worth every penny and more.

This was a fantastic 7 day trip! The scenery sets the stage, along with Ben & Cristina's knowledge of the area, the great meals, and attention to detail assures an amazing trip of a lifetime. Anyone that enjoys the outdoors, hiking, fishing, nature and history will not be disappointed. We definitely recommend a trip with Yoho Adventures to BC!

This guided trip was a week in British Columbia inland from Bella Coola in the Caribou Chilcotin mountains. 4 days of hiking beautiful mountain country, then a few days of river rafting, sight seeing, boat trip to see the coastal waterways, and some day hikes. Oh yeah, GREAT food every day prepared by Ben and Cristina. Never have I met two nicer people who were so in tune with each and every member of the tour, so that events, meals, treats, and conversation were tailored for each of us, making us all feel very special. It was one splendid, beautiful, enjoyable day after another. We all felt like good friends by the end of the week.

After our first satisfactory experience with Yoho in BC, we decided to try them in a tailor made trip in NZ for the whole family. They didn't deceive us; they perfectly understood our aims and fulfil them all.
The enthusiasm of Ben & Cristina to make the trip unforgettable was incredible.

This was an amazing trip and I could not be more satisfied. Yoho Adventures does everything right. Beautiful setting, genuine friendliness, experts in the area, great meals, attention to every detail. A great value. Everyone on the trip had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!!! I definitely plan to go on more adventures with Yoho.
