Enjoyed our visit here one Saturday in June. Not too busy, loved the cellar rooms and connecting tunnels. Gardens weren't as formal as I expected but nice to wander around. Great views of Sussex hills. Wonderful dolls house.

After the fire, this hose has been magnificently restored. A real slice of English life, although the servants accessed the house through tunnels. Do not forget to view the very old dolls house.

The wonder of this lovely site is its rescue from the ruins by determined craftspeople, the trust, and the owners who had done so much to restore it in the first place. Tour guides were a mixed bunch. Some very helpful, and definitely needed in...More

We had never visited before and had always wanted. The weather wonderful, staff polite and helpful. There is a good selection of food and drinks; great vista to enjoy. The house interesting and full of history, much to enjoy.

Amazing views and pretty gardens. The house is relatively quick to get around as it is the ground floor and basement only. I loved the emphasis on real people, staff and the contributions of various women who owned the house. Lots of human interest here...More

This house is not bad and probably worth a visit. My wife like the below stairs aspects so wanted to see the staff tunnels and kitchens. The dolls house is also quite fascinating. The below stairs parts are only open for a short time before...More

Uppark is a magnificent and quite fascinating house and garden where you get to see the servants' quarters as well as the main house, which gives a good perspective on the "upstairs / downstairs" contrast. I would have liked to see more stories of the...More

The carpark is gravel surfaced, the paths from the carpark to the house are tarmac. As for the gardens, well it was blowing a hoolie and pouring with rain when we visited so our outside excursion was very short but I imagine... More
