Accessible for those using walkers and/or wheelchairs, but could be made perfect by paving, or turning the gravel path, into a wooden boardwalk. Took my elderly parents there for a day picnic, but both needed assistance with either their walker or wheelchair. Park designers/planners ought...More

This is a beautiful spot for a picnic and a leisurely walk, particularly for anyone who loves the outdoors, but has difficulty with mobility, or is perhaps elderly. The scenery is spectacular, as the many artists who chose this spot to set up and paint...More

A picturesque little lake, easy to access. Pack a picnic. Take a small hike around the lake, just perfect for little people. Its glorious.

This is an absolutely beautiful treasure hidden a little further down the highway from Elbow Falls. Reminder: this section of the Highway closes for the winter months and does not re-open until the April long weekend.

We enjoy going here for a picnic and a walk during the warmer months of the year. There are picnic tables available around the pond or you can bring your blanket and have a picnic on the grass. There are a few firepits also. There...More

We used to fish here years ago in a little blow up boat. They're were people fishing who said they'd not caught anything. It's a great place for a picnic and to just get away from the big city.

The pond is good for kids who don't need a license if under 16. The nearby Elbow River is good fishing. Adults need a license except Alberta residents over 65. Hooks can be sharp but not barbed.
