I’m an advanced rider and went with a friend who has never spent time around horses or ridden one. The guides were extremely thorough and helpful in reassuring new riders and very adept at choosing the correct horse for each person in our group.

They gave very good instructions and a short demonstration before our ride and continued providing advice and instruction during the ride. We were able to stop at a nice ridge for photos and a break and the views were gorgeous.

The corral and ranch area itself is easy to navigate and tidy with some friendly dogs hanging around to greet you. All the staff were friendly and professional.

If you go in winter I suggest having good tires on your vehicle as the driveway is relatively steep and there is some ice build up on both the driveway and in the parking area.

Additionally, the ranch is only a short drive to Bragg Creek and allows for a nice day out to explore the foothills. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.

This was a horse ride time of a lifetime. Our hosts Undine and Neil thought of everything. With 40 horses to chose from, they match you to your best ride. The lodge was great, set up for the group. The rides were beautiful the food was great. All of their staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We did the ride across the divide and it was fantastic!

I have visited many different ranches and horseback riding experiences, but I keep coming back to this one. Their horses are very well cared for, and excellent trail riding horses. I’ve never had any bad experience here. Horses are lovely, guides are lovely, and the whole experience is authentic. Thank you as always!

Fantastic service, great knowledge shared by our guide Robert. Happy, healthy horses very respected by the ranch. Scenery, trees, beautiful sounds and smells of fall all from the steady back of calm horses.
Beginner to advanced, Moose Mountain matches riders to the best suited horse for their skill.
Thinking of a unique date or place to go with friends....consider this and take it off your bucket list.

I really enjoyed our 1.5 trail ride at Moose Mountain Horseback Adventures. As a person well versed in horse behaviour and safety procedures when around horses, I was impressed with the precautions taken and the advice given to us to ensure our safety and comfort of our horses as we rode, even though we had indicated we were familiar with riding horses. I would have enjoyed a much more energetic horse, but given that they did not know me and my previous years experience with horses and riding horses, I appreciated their goal of giving me a safe horse. I will certainly be back again!
