We took the walk on the tundra excursion in early September. The trek was easy enough but several hours long. We learned A LOT about a wide range of topics, from the nature of the tundra and wildlife, plants and things related to the natural environment, to how people live in the North, their challenges, they costumes and their views. It was a day full of nature, culture, and learning. A wide variety of snacks (including coffee and hot chocolate) were provided on a break half way through the walk. We wanted to do other activities with Inukpak but the tides were not in our favor, so we left that for our next trip up to Iqaluit.

We had the great privilege of spending 2 half days with Martine. She was outstanding in Every way giving us great insight into culture and everyday life with great detail, many things we could not have possibly learned on our own. She took us into Sylvia grennell territorial park on a hike along the Sylvia grennell river. She carried tea and snacks which we enjoyed in an alcove along the way. We toured the legislative assembly and many town landmarks. She told us the many options we could do on our independent time and as a bonus took us to the sled dog compound at no added cost. So amazing!

Martine and Louis were incredible guides!! They answered all your questions and adapted your trips based on your abilities. The tour of the town was definitely a highlight and provided us with loads of insight and history. We also loved the sea kayaking and hiking. The food was incredible. Even when our flight was delayed, they were generous enough to reorganize our trips so we were still able to do them. Would highly recommend this company.

Traveling in Nunavut can be one of your life time adventures. Scenery, people and wildlife are only few of a million things giving such a unique taste to the Canadian arctic. But traveling in Nunavut, also mean, traveling following permitting weather, and so, bad weather cancellations are not impossible. Also, “out of our control” situation can happen even with the best preparation. Replacement pieces for aircrafts and specialised workers to fix engines often need to be brought from South and are not always available the next morning. To enjoy an experience up North it is important to be ready to face those situations and to be ready to play with your schedule, so we will too! We highly recommend that everybody traveling to the Arctic take few days off at the end of their trip to accommodate delay, with a smile. We are delighted that you had a great time with us and that your party managed to adapt to the situation and make the best out of it! You are now our Best Ambassador! Take care!

Glad you guys felt safe! You are right, Arctic climate and weather can sometimes be unpredictable, this is why it is recommended to go out with experienced and reputable guides so that you can enjoy the adventure, feel safe and have great stories to tell when you are back in town! Ultimately, Mother Nature rules it all, isn't she? Looking forward for our next adventure with you!
