What an amazingly beautiful, relaxing way to spend a day! We felt as if Alan and Toddy were our personal guides. We experienced both gray and humpback whales - we saw a gray whale breech multiple times - it was as if he were putting on a show just for us. Eagles, sea lions, harbor seals, and a bear! We... Alan & Toddy were great hosts for our recent wildlife cruise in Ucluelet. Everything about the cruise was first rate. Excellent vessel, wonderful food, along with amazing knowledge of the area and the wildlife. This was by far the best cruise, of this type, we have ever been on. We would recommend it to anyone!

Our family took a day cruise with Alan and Toddy and had a wonderful time. They help a few of us with motion sickness, provided a nice lunch, pointed out eagles, seals, whales, a pre-war Japanese fishing village, and were knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the area. Their boat is their home and feels comfortable, clean and welcoming.... More

A memorable trip with Al and Toddie, who are so lovely that they make the trip personal and special. We saw lots of whales and have great 'whale tail' photos. We can't recommend this enough and are sure it's way better than all the other tours around!

If you have time for just one wildlife/whale-watching trip we highly recommend Archipelago Wildlife Cruises in Ucluelet . We went on two others, but found that this one was by far the best. The guides, Alan and Toddy Landry, are experienced boaters and former fishermen who have lived on the water. They know where to find wildlife and are very... More

Alan and Toddy are gracious hosts and most knowledgeable guides/naturalists. We saw every kind of wildlife they tout in their literature in addition to seeing some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable, and their anecdotal knowledge of the sights and the islands was truly special. The comfort of the cruise was exceptional and the cheerful service better than most one... More

Al and Toddy were wonderful hosts during our whale watching trip in July 2013. The day dawned misty and cool and I'm so grateful we booked with Archipelago Cruises. This boat is Al and Toddy's house and they provide everything you could possibly want for the day. They have: good grade binoculars for each person (including small ones for the... More

Whale watches promise a lot of fun and most deliver; however, my experience with Toddy and Al far exceeded my expectations. Their enthusiasm for their work is evident in all that they do to make for a memorable experience. We saw whale, after whale, after whale, even two humpback females with calves. I lost count of how many times one... More

Even if we didn't see lots of whales, we had pleasure to see eagles, whales and another wildlife animals during more than five hours. And the best we lunch near a very quiet and private island in the broken island. That was fabulous. The hosts were incredibly nice and give lots of explanation about the animals. They are professional. For... More

Wow. Best, most personable cruise/tour I've ever been on. If you're looking for something memorable it's worth the little extra to upgrade to this excellent experience, and let Alan and Toddy be your hosts for the day. I see why TripAdvisor has them ranked as the #3 Wildlife Sightseeing Tour in the WORLD. This is what I will compare everything... More
