The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

Without question my favourite place in Canada. Gorgeous views, all year round, rain or shine. This is an easy hike and for all skill levels, nicely groomed trails. Well worth the visit, we visit every time we make it out to the west coast.

This trail is simply amazing with vistas all the way to Hawaii! Well groomed trails for those who may require a walking stick and lots of stops along the way to take photos. This is nature at it's best....wild and untamed. Highly recommend.

This is a well maintained coastal trail. There are some ups and downs you will need to navigate. If you can do a flight of a dozen stairs you should be ok on this trail if you pace yourself. There are several entry areas so it is not necessary to do the whole trail. Some parts are open to the... More

Don't be in a hurry. Always have your raincoat and warm clothes. Don't be married to your camera. This place is not of this world. Be sure to take your time and late the magic in. The views are ever changing. Rain or shine take to the trail and spend the time to be one with the wonder

Very best parts are farthest from town, north on the peninsula. All of it is very accessible and very good scenery, enjoyable for several walks by anyone, including kids. Requires good balance and strength as there are some short grades (20 meter stretches, perhaps 10%). The steepest have a rolling walk (not level) bypass option. Well-seated rather flat crushed gravel... More

Fantastic views easy and harder walks, we spent time on the beach and walked around the lighthouse. Peaceful and beautiful, with views of ocean and brilliant sunshine. Lovely for a picnic and lots of viewing points and benches.

We walked the trail at sunset and loved every step of it. The rugged coastline is so beautiful you just have to see it. I couldn't stop taking pictures and will upload a... More
