The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

You must try to walk this trail! It is totally a fantastic place with great trails and easy to walk along. Many benches along the trail where you can stop enjoy the snack you brought alsong and take photos! TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU! We were fortunate to have the trails with few hikers so could really take our time.... More

We walked the 2.6 km lighthouse trail and really enjoyed it. The trail is very well-marked, with lots of spots to sit and enjoy the view. Some of the views really are stunning. Highly recommended!

The artist's loop is especially nice, with frequent scenic viewpoints and spots for artists to set up their easels. At the end, I went down to a surge... More

The whole loop of this trail breaks into amazing coastal views. Protected coves, raging waves, lighthouses and crazy tourists risking their lives on the surf beaten rocks. The trail is well maintained and allows for numerous protected viewpoints......many with areas to sit and wonder.

This was our very first time in Ucluelet and we are not disappointed. I had planned this trip for us with one main reason, to propose to the love of my life. I decided that it would be awesome to hike the Wild Pacific Trail and pick out a perfect spot to accomplish this. Of course the trail did not... More
