Nice small garden, a few interesting facts and displays outside and inside, a few trinkets, and very helpful staff. Don't expect more, but it makes a nice little stop.

Modest centre, but Parks staff were excellent at helping visitors and giving personalized information about the area based on visitors' plans for their vacation. Not much in the way of merchandise, but some gifts if you're looking for a souvenir. Good stop if you need info before heading into town.

Good way to learn about the area. So many things to see and enjoy. All kinds of wild experiences and lovely holes in the wall.

According to both their website and the sign on the door, they open at 10AM. When I arrived at 10:30AM they had put a note on the door saying they would not be opening until 11. I bought my parks pass elsewhere.

Hi somegalfromcan, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Though we operate in the shoulder-season with limited staff, we do our best to be available during posted opening hours. However, sometimes that is not possible, and under those circumstances we do our best to post any unexpected short-notice closures to the doors. We are happy to hear you were able to pick up a Parks Pass elsewhere, and hope you had a lovely visit to the West Coast!

I'm glad I stopped in the centre for some info and use the restroom after a long drive. I recommend stopping in to find out what there is to do in this area. I was only planning a day and ended up staying a couple of days to experience Pacific Rim N.P., Uclulelet and area fully. What a gorgeous place. Tofino.... not so much. lots of derilict buildings, lots of homeless people sleeping on benches, drinking and shooting up in full day light. seriously doubting very much I will ever return to Tofino but Ucleulet and Pacific Rim are on my return list.

And very sorry to hear you did not have a good experience in Tofino. We love our region and hope on your future visits you have a more positive experience in our neighbour to the north. Thanks again!

The staff in the centre know the area really well. They provided excellent suggestions on a very rainy day.

This visitor centre is a good place to stop. Especially after training the long winding road of highway number 4. You can use the restroom and obtain a map of the park and the trails. A parking pass is required to stop at any location in the park. If you did not plan ahead and are looking for last minute accommodation. The resorts do send a list of availability. Also see what trails are open as a couple are closed still from last winters wind storm.

The Pacific Rim Visitor Centre is the ideal first stop for first-time visitors to the area. A highlight is a large-scale 3D map of the Pacific Rim area, giving a real sense of scale. There is a wealth of information in the form of leaflets and maps, but the real asset here is the staff, who are knowledgeable and keen to help.

Top-tip: Parking permits for the Pacific Rim National Park are available here, and can be purchased daily, as needed.

The visitor centre is full of helpful information as are the staff. Cost varies depending on what you are doing and how long you stay in the park, but a day pass is about $8. The park spans along the ocean 17 km from Ucluelet to Tofino with white sandy beaches, spectacular surf, trails and camp grounds throughout. We walked the beach for about 3 hours in the late afternoon watching the kite surfers and at one point virtually had the beach to ourselves. Parking is included in the park pass and washrooms are excellent and very modern.
