War memorials honouring/celebrating the insane violence of war should be hidden in darkness, away from ethical minds that find war the most insane, obscene, and profane act that human can be driven to commit.

On a rainy somber day in October, we happened across the war memorial. Somehow the weather seemed appropriate! And so did the fountain. Tears for the brave men and women whose names are engraved upon this war memorial!

The cenotaph is here to honor all those who fought and died so that you could have the freedoms that you take for granted everyday. Pick up your garbage, don't let your kids climb it etc. Show some respect

This memorial is typical of many found the country in small towns. The names of soldiers who died in the war are inscribed on it and it stands in a small park at a very busy five street intersection in the downtown. The park in which it stands is well maintained with a small fountain and ornamental shrubs. A bench to sit, but no shade trees.

Seeing the Remembrance service here brought to mind all those who had fought and lost their lives in the War. A poignant time, yet time well spent to honour those wonderful people. A lovely memorial in their honour and well deserved. ENJOY!

Remembrance Day ceremony was held at the War Memorial. It is a beautiful place to respect those who have fought and serves for our freedom at this and any time of year. The monument itself is dedicated to local branches of those who have served which is great for those interested in history. A lovely place to sit and reflect.
