Q-Trip: Park down at the Macaulay homestead/museum ... it's free
BUT more important enjoy the up the hill walk to Birdhouse City.

Q-Trip: A perfect after breakfast/lunch walk.

Q-Trip: Shady path for those hot days.

We came for Birdhouse City and were surprised with the Museum grounds,
and the bird houses were over-the-top fun.

Nice conservation are just south of Picton.
A mixture of trails when it comes to levels of difficulty.
Only problem is they charge for parking...in nature !!

A wonderful climb up then a stroll down. We love this hike. Nice and shaded on the hot days, too! A stop at the pond to see the ducks completes the outing.

We thought this little spot was a gem. It was quiet and fun to explore. The birdhouses are getting pretty worn down and a face lift would be an idea to keep them looking aesthetically pleasing. We walked on the trail to the church and back and it was just a nice walk through the woods.

This appears to be a wonderful hiking location with some mountain bike trails as well. Attended in late spring and expected some wet areas. Trails were damaged and littered by Atv users that gained access to the trails from a nearby road. Ruts and water were over 12inches deep in many areas. Real shame. Thank goodness the park itself appears fine and was in use by many people.

This is great park just outside of Picton. There are several trails available that range from easy to moderate. Lots of parking available. Good place to get some exercise. Also in the park is "Bird House City" a quirky collection of about 100 birdhouses. It is visible from the road but it worthwhile to get out of the car and have a look at them.

Thought I’d add a review for this place seeing as the trails have now been freshly marked and it’s super easy to get around. We enjoyed it, as did our pooch. There is some poison ivy around so be careful but the paths were clear. We did the steepest bit last which made the hike very easy. From the parking lot head down the path to the left between the bushes, you’ll end up gradually going up then coming down the moderately steep hill at the end.

Just outside of Picton and easy to find. Good parking. Trails are wonderful for a stroll or more energetic hiking. A pond is easily accessible for smaller kids to enjoy

As everyone says the trails are not well marked, but we had no problem getting around since it's not very big. Just pay attention to where the road is and keep it on your left, or right coming back. There are some steeper climbs which you should watch out for it you don't like hills, But really nice trails.
