Picton is the place to be. Great vibes, quaint streets with interesting and artsy businesses. The Regent has 400 seats which were filled to capacity for the live show we attended. Refreshments available including alcohol and very relaxed about taking food and drinks into the theatre. Great sound and visibility from every seat. A really pleasant community-minded spot which hosts all kinds of great events.

Oh my gosh, this theatre was a true gem. I liked the vintage feel of it and I was amazed by the prices. It was 12 dollars to see a brand new movie for the two of us, usually 12 per person at home. The screen isn't huge but I didn't find that to be an issue.

The Regent has tons of movies, live theatre, and musical artists on a regular/daily basis. "The Trews" are here soon for a repeat performance as an example. Most first-run movies find their way to the big screen as well as Cinefest, Docufest, and live comic hilarity such as the recent appearance of 22 Minute's Mary Walsh. Also a free monthly movie for kids on a Sunday afternoon.

Best concert ever. The theatre was sold-out, and Cuddy and friends were superb, as ever. The banter and interaction with the audience made the performance memorable.

Such a thrill to see a movie in a theatre that looks exactly like the one I grew up going to.They still make popcorn fresh and hot with real butter and an elderly gentleman is only too happy to serve it to you.

Recently upgraded and beautifully restored (on-going), the historic Regent presents all recent cinema releases, live-casting of world stage productions (War Horse), documentary and film-fest series, in addition to frequent live 'big name' concerts (Valdy, Bara McNeils, Bruce Cockburn, Vinyl Café...) ...but best of all: Live stage productions! The County Theatre Group regularly presents Broadway-style shows: HMS Pinafore, Mikado, Blood Brothers, Christmas Carol, just to name a few. Feel free to take a look around!

I attended three days of the Jazz Festival 2019. The main events took place at the Regent Theatre, but there were many other venues.
The Regent Theatre is an excellent location, one that would not normally be expected in such a small place. It is relatively large, has very comfortable seating and the acoustics are excellent. This was my first time to Picton, but it certainly won't be my last.

Eagles tribute band provided a nostalgic Saturday night out for us. The theatre itself brings back memories of small town theatres, long before the commercialized multi-screen behemoths we see now.
Good acoustics, very spacious and comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. Accessible seating is also available.
The only negative issue I have is there seems to be no smoking restriction in place in town. As a result, at intermission and prior to the start of the concert, we had to run a gauntlet of smokers standing within a few feet of the entry doors, and butts were accumulating rapidly on the sidewalk.
I would still recommend attending one of the many varied shows at this historic place.

The theatre is a lovely historic building run by volunteers. Seating is comfortable and. No problem seeing the stage. The concert we attended wasn't our cup of tea but we will definitely try again! We will probably get seats further back as we found it very loud.
