Our planned day was right after a weather front went through so the wind was very strong, the temp was quite cool for June and the sand had been waterlogged from all the rain. The attendant processed our credit card easily but there is actually...More

Sandbanks is a beautiful park! Several beaches to choose from, sand dunes to climb, and trails to explore. You need at least a full day to fully enjoy. I was only sad because there was a LOT more garbage littering the beach than when I...More

Picton-what I saw of it-is a lovely, peaceful place. Even 3 months ahead is not enough time to book a hotel though, so maybe book a year ahead! The regulars that travel there know exactly when things open and in one day it can be...More

Great vistas in a serene setting. Numerous trails access beautiful beaches and picnic areas. This is a special place in Prince Edward County, great place for a quiet spring walk/hike.

We went for a visit to the beach. We thought that the water may be too cold but we went in! What an amazing beach. We went to the dunes as well and were thoroughly amazed. We will be back!

When we were kids in Kingston, we headed to the Dunes OR the Outlet. Now, both these areas come under one umbrella as The Sandbanks Provincial Park. Our B&B in Picton gave us a pass so we went to see if much has changed over...More

Before school is out you can go anytime and there is very little traffic. Once kids are off school I hear its packed, so get the park opening time and factor in your distance.
