Yes the title says right! I just a short trip on this place since I am already in Kalibo and Pandan, Antique is just near. To get there? From Kalibo ride jeepneys, buses or vans thatgos to Caticlan and tell the driver to drop you off at Pandan Crossing. There are 2 options to go there via Iloilo City to Antique and via Kalibo to Pandan Antique Caticlan Road. Once you get down you get a tricycle or a single motorbike to bring you there. Try your nego skills but my price to get to Bugang River and Malumpati Cold Spring was only p550 all in and since I am alone. Thats a back and forth rate and I told my driver that I will be just fast so he also waited for me. In Bugang River go to Naranjo Water Park where there is a resto and water activities like bamboo raft riding, water bike and paddle boards. If you find nice view just ask your driver to stop and have your photo. Yes you can swim there. The rate will vary of how long you will stay in a place or how many passengers.

The river is nice and clean and very swimmable. We really enjoyed the tour and even the short swim stop and the ice cream stop t the water park. My 5 year old said she had so much fun.

This is just acceptable for local standards. If you are a foreigner this has nothing to offer. Avoid it

Best way to experience the river is to take a dip or kayak which we did. It was a long trike ride from Pandan - Libertad intersection. If you're coming here with a private vehicle, then there are no worries. There is parking space available. Using public transpo however is another matter. Whether you choose to come to Naranjo or to Malumpati, better make arrangements with your trike driver to collect you either at a designated time or get his mobile number.

The water was low tide when we arrived so there were parts of the river that was really shallow enough to see underwater but there were parts that were dark and looked ominous. We immediately regretted not wearing life vests especially since that area had more forest-y feel, a bit darker due to more vegetation than the side going to the bridge.

The Bugang River according to my guide is the continuation of the Malumpati Springs. It features clean pristine water filled with numerous wildlife. Most of the surrounding area is undeveloped so it features a nice beautiful scenery. There is a a store that offers a river tour, and I recommend that you avail of it.
