This place is a historical theatre. It is a nice small movie theatre and give you a place to to watch movies. It gets all the big name movies day of release which is so awesome when living in a rural area. Only problem I have is the seats still a bit uncomfortable.

We headed to the Lido last night for and we are still impressed. The Lido is very reasonably priced! The quality of the experience and the quality of their concession products are always top notch and significantly better than other movie theatres I've been too, they even usher and male annoying people put away their phones. Don't bother with the other reviews, The Pas's locals can be very negative when it comes to complaining. We moved to The Pas from a larger city and the people here don't realize how lucky they are to have such a great movie theatre to go see new movies. See for yourself when you are in The Pas, you won't be disappointed.

We talked about the theatre more after the movie than we did the movie ha ha. I am not even sure if there is another place where you can go see a movie in such a beautiful and historic building, it is enchanting. The Lido is still owned by the great grand son of the founder (we asked) and so it has been in the same family since 1929..wow. The Pas can be lacking in other areas of "city" life, but not when it comes to movies. We love the Lido, it's one of a kind. While we were there I talked to the manager and asked about the owners. The owner has a bunch of other businesses and he desperately wants to keep the Lido thriving, their biggest challenge being, like all small towns, finding great staff. We sure hope they continue to find great staff to keep the Lido open and running just as great as it is now. We certainly will keep going to the Lido as long as we can :)

I just revisited the Lido and think it is still great. We are so lucky to have a movie theatre here. Yes it is a bit more expensive than the city, just like almost every other business in the north. The magic of the place is great, the classic architecture and awesome staff make this place worth the wait and a couple extra dollars. They do sometimes close for breaks, so as other reviewers have said check their website for whats up when you plan on visiting. So happy they are running again!

Prices sure jumped up, more expensive than Silver City. $12 admission and $7 for a medium popcorn. What a shame, $20 isn't even enough to go to the show. Does anyone else have an issue with the pricing? It is only $10.50 for an adult admission in Silver City and you have 12 theaters/movies to choose from. I think a $10 admission would be more appropriate.

You read that right! This is the only movie theater in The Pas, and it has been closed for months now. When it is open, it's a nice little theatre to go to. But for some reason or another, the owner has had it shut down (probably finance issues) temporarily. I have been checking their Facebook page since January 2014 in the hopes that there will be some news on re-opening, but there is nothing even indicating that it is closed. Now that summer is here, I wonder if they will ever reopen. Their website states "We'll be back," but I recommend the following: PLEASE visit their Facebook page (Lido Theatre Movie Theatre), webpage www.lidotheatre.ca or call 204-623-3861 before attending just to find out they are still CLOSED.

The seats are uncomfortable, so your always moving around trying to get comfortable. I like the effort they put into costumer service, but I also think they don't have many options for drinks.

I am from Europe, and "we don't have cinemas like that". One cinema center is like another... You don't get a choice in The Pas, and though you don't, you'll get something special.

The interior of the Lido has - how to describe this - an Italian theme to it, with fake facades and balconies on the left and the right. Hilarious! ...and unique as well. It even made it into the Lonely Planet...
