I have parked here a number of times for walks up the Manifold Valley as well as Dovedale. The grounds make a lovely place to stop for a picnic afterwards or use the tea rooms for a tea and cake (or something more substantial)

Large park with fantastic views and great walks. Lovely gardens, information room and church to visit. Nice tea rooms. Dovedale stepping stones are in walking distance although we in fact drove there.

Lovely quick visit to Ilam before walking off to Dovedale. Nice little garden and walk around the hall although it was a shame some of the locations were closed due to repairs. Still, well worth a visit!
