This is a beautiful Island to kayak. We took a day tour with Chessi of Galiano Kayaks. It was a very informative day on the water with Chessi, he really knows everything about the Island. We had a great day paddling and learnt a ton of things about the Island and it's creatures. I would highly recommend this outfit if... More

My husband and I booked the 3 hour beginners kayacking. It was not the best weather, but we had a fantastic time anyway. The guide was very knowledgable and interesting. We saw otters, seals, and a variety of birds. The shoreline is stunning. I would recommend this tour.

We rented kayaks and gear for a three day kayak trip, and their staff were amazing. I got loads of help in planning our trip, figuring out routes, camping spots, distances, tides, weather and more. When our plans had to change (missed the dang ferry!!) they helped me adapt our plans so we could still get a full three days... More

Four of us booked on the early bird guided tour from 9-12. Our host was Jennifer who was friendly, helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and great company from start to finish. One of our group was new to kayaking and very nervous at first, Jennifer was calming and supportive and by the end of the morning our novice was paddling around at... More

We were a group of two moms and three teenage girls. We had a wonderful bright spring day paddling the protected waters between Galiano and Saltspring. Chessy was a very informative guide who gave so much information about the flora, fauna and geology of the islands. He was polite and considerate of everyone in the group, adjusting for both beginner... More

I had my very first kayaking experience here when I visited Galiano Island several years ago. My husband and I rented a double kayak. I was a little worried at first since we have never done it before, but it was actually really easy once you get in. The water around the island is so clear and calm, you can... More

We had a lovely kayak trip from Montague Harbour. We saw various islands and many seals. Picknicked on a small beach. The rental company was easy going which was nice.

We, a family of 4 (2 daughters age 12 and 16) went on a 4 day kayak tour in July 2016. Our guide was Chessi, the son of the owner of Galiano Kayaks, who has been doing this since he is a teenager. The tour was absolutely fantastic. It was the highlight of our Canada trip. We saw eagles, seals,... More

We went to Galiano Island for a weekend and decided to go for a paddle. We had never kayaked (we have canoed quite a bit) and felt a little nervous. The person at the marina gave us a good intro to the boat, how to get in, make adjustments and paddle and steer. The lesson lasted a good 20 minutes... More
