Great way to get a paddle in without having to bring your own boat. They readily accommodated my request to go earlier in the day when rain was forecast for the afternoon. Kudos to Gage for helping me carry the kayak to Emerald Bay. A short distance, but why carry it solo if you don't have to? Please tip staff at all tourism businesses generously; they don't have the usual volume of visitors this year...a great reason to go explore Waterton!

Paddle boarding was so much fun!!! Their location was close to the bay where it is much calmer than out on the lake. It was our first time and they gave us helpful instructions. There were four of us and I am the only one that fell in which was due to poor balance on my part, I don’t think I stood up close enough to the middle on the first try and I fell off the back which is silly really. I got the hang of it after that. The kids (13 & 16) did great and were able to carry their boards to the water (we helped the 13 year old a bit and some walkers stopped to help our 16 year old as well but they could have made it if they needed to). It’s a short, 120meters walk, past the new hotel being built right down to the water. Bring warm clothes for after, just in case you fall in, the water is cold. An hour was lots for our first time. It does take some stabilizer muscles that we don’t use all the time so an hour was lots. We all picked it up pretty quick and had the most amazing time. The water was clear and scenery beautiful!!! We were a bit early for our reservation but they were able to accommodate us. They were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend trying this out. We didn’t reserve until we got there because the winds in Waterton can be really high. You can book a day in advance so we watched the weather network for a less windy day and booked for Sunday morning at 10:00. If you want to reserve you need to do so the day before. I think you could paddle board in the bay almost anytime because it is pretty sheltered there. Even with whitecaps on the lake the bay was really calm but we enjoyed the calm sunshine for our first time out.

Very accommodating! It was an incredibly windy morning and the weather forecast showed that the wind was to die down later in the day. They were very accommodating when we asked if we could book an afternoon time slot. It was so much more enjoyable than it would have been. Ron was fantastic on explaining all the ins and outs on how to operate the bikes. We had an incredible time cycling up to the look out, the ride back down was even better! Would most definitely do this again! Thanks Ron for all of your help and your great customer service.
