We enjoyed this lovely little village, despite there being construction work all around it. We were very disappointed to find that many of the nearby trails were still closed because of the 2017 Kenow wildfire. There are some nice cafes and some expensive art and...More

We were there in early June. More than half the park is closed due to last summers wildfire. About half the town is a construction site, with roads and parking lots all torn up. Many stores and restaurants were not open mid week. Some restaurants...More

Waterton is a tiny village within a National Park. It is situated on a gorgeous lake with beautiful photo-ops. There is a campground, and a gas station/store that carries all sorts of great items, as well as rents out bicycles and surreys. There are several...More

We stayed here and absolutely loved it. Just touristy enough that you have good places for meals and to shop but not too touristy that it loses that small village feel. We enjoyed it that much it made it on to our re-visit list the...More

This little town is a pleasure to explore with its many unique cafes, restaurants and gift shops. People are friendly and readily willing to answer your questions. Lots of beautiful areas to walk and explore right in town e.g. Cameron Falls, along lakeshore.

Lots of road rebuilds going on and lots of obvious devastation from the Kenow fires if 2017... This whole town could have burned up!..

I have no question that this beautiful town absolutely thrives in the Summer and is filled with holidaymakers soaking up the sun, boating, fishing and hiking. But I wouldn't bother coming before June. I am on a 2 year working holiday visa and am based...More

This place is a must - you can make it in about 2hrs from Calgary (*if you drive at about 80 mph though) and it's a beautiful area comparable to Lake Louise etc. The drive over is featureless and the village is not much to...More

Thanks for the reply. We would only use it for a few things like a lunch of things at the shop. I'm thinking it will easier too just use our regular C.C. card there. I appreciate your answer.
