Our 4 day trip led by Sebastian and Lance was great! We've obviously decided to do it for the surroundings, but the top notch guides and quality gear from Powell River Sea Kayak resulted in a truly 5 star experience. Our family is outdoorsy but our early teen boys were not so keen prior to the trip... nonetheless, it wasn't long before they completely changed their mind: they loved it just as much as the we did. One more thing: the food was amazing; certainly set the bar quite high for our future backcountry adventures!

The new 7 day excursion into Toba Inlet is a fabulous adventure. Our guides, Marie-Pierre and Juan made this trip safe, exciting and memorable! They are so hard-working, hauling equipment, preparing great meals and constantly assuring that everyone is enjoying the trip. The progressive route for the full 7 days ensures that we see as much as possible - and the return on the landing craft at the end is a blast! What a great way to see a part of Beautiful BC that most people never get a chance to enjoy!

I did the 6-day, 5-night Desolation Sound/West Redonda trip, with Dan and Ariane as our excellent guides. They were amusing, informative, capable, extremely hard-working - and most of all, fun. The whole thing was a superb experience in stunning scenery. We had variable weather (of course - it IS BC after all!) but because we were well equipped and set up, it all worked just fine, whatever the weather. Some paddles were quite easy, while others challenged us with strong headwinds, but the inexhaustible supply of delicious home-made "drive-by" snacks kept us all cheery. The meals were truly special, full of creative, nutirious foods, produced seemingly effortlessly. Our group of 10 guests gelled well together, with everyone pitching in when there was work to be done - and there is indeed work to be done, with loading, unloading, and moving boats to allow for the tide changes, quite apart from pitching tents on remote and rugged sites. Be prepared for full-on days, with early starts and little down-time, and you will hugely enjoy it!

Toba Inlet 7 day expedition May 19-25, 2022 Excellent trip. Guides Dan & Seb are very experienced, knowledgeable, attentive and were amazing. Scenery was spectacular. trip plan was great. It was a one way trip (we were picked up by vessel 1/2 way up Toba mid-day on day 7 and had a 1.5 to 2hr ride back). Kayaks, paddles, pfds, tents, sleeping pads and dry bags were excellent. For this trip I'd recommend bringing personal dry pants and sturdy footwear with excellent tread as many launches are deeper than your knees and can be slippery. I'd also recommend warmer clothes than Desolation trips and a good fitness level. A great trip for those into wilderness plus a gourmet experience.
