Before getting to the butterflies, you will walk through an area with many insects in glass enclosures. Then, there are two doors to pass through so that the butterflies do not get out of the enclosure. You will walk among the butterflies. Do not be...More

Not as big as I had expected. I think it’s because I spent the day at Butchart Gardens and that’s a huge area! Butterfly Gardens not only have butterflies but they have flamingoes, koi fish, turtles, parrots and insects. Nice place to visit and you...More

Butterflies, moths, flamingos, beautiful plants and poisonous frogs, what's not to love? Good recommendation for all ages. It's warm in there, wear layers.

This is like entering a tropical rainforest (along with the humidity-My husband couldn't stay long because of breathing problems) and the beauty all around was delightful. Hundreds of butterflies, parrots, flamingos, iquanas, koi fish, and cocoons amid gorgeous plants and flowers.

Much more than just butterflies. 2 very photogenic flamingos, 2 macaws and a very interesting insect, spider and arachnid set of displays. Very friendly and helpful staff too. It was humid and hot inside the main display enclosure so dress accordingly. Combine 1-2 hours here...More

We visited on an excursion that included this stop with Butchart Gardens. This stop gives close encounters with many beautiful butterflies, so I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a close look at them.

The flowers, birds, turtles and whatever kind of lizard that was running around were great, too. I would totally recommend this to anyone...More

Yes they are. We just ask that you are mindful of the other guests and that the feet stay on the paths and not in the garden beds. Thank you and enjoy your visit!
