Played the course twice. Staff were very friendly from the shop to the starter. Loaner clubs excellent, course for me the right level of difficulty. In other words not too many hazards or traps. Fairways amazing in quality. There's a convenient cafe between 9th and 10th and a good indoor and outside restaurant.

Love the whole atmosphere. Staff is great, golf is as challenging as you want and a beautiful setting. Tough to beat.

Cordova Bay is an exceptional golf experience.. The course layout is welcoming and offers challenges ...often subtle ones. Easily walkable. Good range and for a full day a best in class practice area and exec course across the road. A good restaurant...overall, a very good experience.

Avoid at all costs. Much better courses in Victoria, with management that cares about their customers. Go to Bear Mountain or Highland Pacific instead!

We pre-booked 8 golfers coming from Edmonton. Jim Goddard (Director of Golf) quoted the twilight rate of 79 dollars, and required us to prepay as we were booking a month in advance. The total amount per golfer we prepaid was $119 including tax. Based on our conversation specifically about power carts being included, and his quoted twilight rate of $79, Jim made it seem like $119 was the total price to play, including the golf carts.

When we arrived, we were charged for full power carts, and pull carts. We also had a player who had a slip disk, and was unable to play. The lady checking us in said that she would refund the money for his green fee, but I had to contact Jim the next day.

When I contacted Jim the next day, he said that there is a premium to prepay (was $34), and that a refund for the injured player is not possible and that he can only provide a rain check (knowing that we are from Edmonton and will not be returning to Victoria anytime soon). Jim through the entire booking experience never once mentioned a $34 dollar premium pricing to pre-book outside of their booking window, and is quoted in an email saying that the only requirement to book before the booking widow is to "make a full payment at the time of reservation". In contrast, Bear Mountain refunded the full cost of the injured players green fees, no questions asked, and gave a deal for pre-booking.

Jim was argumentative, condescending, insensitive, and misleading, which was similar to how the rest of the staff at the golf course behaved. There are many good options for golf in Victoria, especially for people from out of town. Cordova Bay is NOT the place to go, especially at a $141 twilight rate.

Loved this course. Elegantly landscaped and a joy to play. Lots of wildlife too: an Audubon course, we saw eagles, deer, fawn and rabbits!

In great condition, an easy comfortable walking course with scenic views.
The turkey sandwich at the snack shop is tasty, they use "real" turkey breast.

Stunning views of Mount Baker, brilliant greens, the occassional visit from a few does - Cordova Bay Golf Course is a well-maintained, challenging golf course. I took my Dad for a late Father's Day outing last year and we both enjoyed it. I have only golfed a dozen times in my life, but this was by far and away the nicest course I've been on. Recommend this for anyone visiting Victoria.

Each time I play Cordova Bay golf course I enjoy it even more. The fairways are like green carpets and the bunkers have plenty of sand! But it is the challenging layout that makes for an enjoyable round. The water features meander through the golf course in an unobtrusive way but need to be treated with respect.

A real gem!

I saw the menu and nearly walked out. I laughed at the selection and prices. Ordered a simple beef burger. Never have I tasted meat so dry. No condiments on it. My water glass had lipstick stains on it. I heard the resteraunt was recently refinished. I asked to see a breakfast menu just to look at. No pancakes or even French toast? Waffles? Nope. Really sad. Dont waste your time here. If the owner is reading this. It's time for a new manager and head chef.

Great course just northeast of Victoria - it took us just 20 minutes from downtown. It's a pretty course with some nice water views, and it's relatively flat so no worries if you have a push cart. The fairways are some of the nicest we've ever seen. The grounds crew obviously puts a lot of care and pride into the course. I would highly recommend playing here if you are in the area. It's not the most challenging, but it's extremely well maintained, the staff and members are very welcoming and the restaurant is pretty good too.
