Great views of the Gorge

On a sunny day, nothing beats a walk from Clifton village up to the Suspension Bridge. It's lovely to walk the length of the bridge and it offers great views, too.

The bridge is iconic and has beautiful views over the cumberland basin. Wonderful walk over the bridge, to do something totally different and finish off with a drink at the hotel opposite.

As far as bridges go it's beautiful. Worth a walk over to see the cliffs. We then drive over it a few days later - walking was certainly more fun.

A beautiful piece of architecture suspended above the Avon Gorge. Lovely to walk over and a great little museum at one end. Just magical at night with the lights on.

You can see for miles on a clear day. Situated over the river avon, you get a real feel of the challenges they must of faced... More

I never tire of looking at the suspension bridge and walking over it and looking at the views, and watching the chains. It is really an iconic site in the wonderful conservation area of Clifton. They have now opened up the vaults for trips which take about 45 minutes. The sheer wonder of the size of the vaults catches you... More
