Saw a free of charge Japanese prints exhibition advertised and had no reason not to venture in. The exhibition was more than I expected and ended up exploring the rest of the museum!

Elegant building, interesting collections, decent cafes, popular with all ages. Take your time and wander around, then grab some tea and cake to contemplate

We love the Bristol Museum! There's so much to see. When my kids were little, their favourite exhibit was the seal in the ground floor wildlife gallery. I love the art - the Pre-Raffaelites and Barbara Hepworth are excellent.More

We allowed 2 hours for our visit and it wasn’t enough! Magnificent building and beautifully maintained museum - all for free (donations welcomed). So much to see with more at every turn! Kids loved the extensive Egyptian display and dinosaur area.More

Yes you can take pushchairs into the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. We also have a pushchair lift and buggy park for pushchairs as well on site.
