This is a National Trust property, so members go free. The car park isn't too far from the main house, but the beautiful garden is on a slope. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. The house itself is interesting with a small collection of glass, including some Nailsea glass. You have to book a tour... More

Set in 500 acres (so we were told) this 4 generations family home has been added to by each of them into today's expansive home. Parking is a short walk from the house and on a wet day as it was for us, you'll need an umbrella! The house has lots of interesting history and we found the NT volunteers... More

Every place my family and I have visited in Bristol was absolutely astounding. The West Country is definitely our favourite area of the UK anyway but Bristol is our favourite city as it has so much to offer in the way of history, eating places, culture and last but not least, friendliness. We continue to go back annually.

As usual the National Trust gardens are immaculate. The tour of the house is mind blowing as to how the very rich owners use to live and on the way out of the house you pass through the it's own church. My grandson was a bit disappointed,no chips in the cafe, poor thing,You need 5 to 6 hrs to appreciate the house and... Enjoyable visit to an old house with a fascinating history. It was all the more so for being occupied by the current family. The guides , as usual, were helpful and informative. There are many other NT properties in the area, so being members was a great advantage.

Clevedon Court is a C14 Manor House much altered over the years set in a terraced garden believed to date from the C18. You see much of the original medieval fabric on your visit but parts of the house are private as they are still lived in by the family. In an alcove accessed through one of the C14 arches... More

The noise is from the nearby M5, the small house means that a timed ticket system is in operation and the interest is provided by the collection of glass and pottery. The house dates all the way back to the 14th century, is in fine condition, although it seems far smaller on the inside than it looks on the outside.... More

Small venue, combine with other venues nearby. Free for NT members but doesn't open till 2pm including grounds. Visited Tyntesfield and Clevedon pier as part of combined day out. Ok, nothing special.

Clevedon Court is only open for limited hours each week so plan your visit carefully. This is not a big house but what there is, is quite interesting, entrance via an ancient dooorway which has a portcullis, a small room displaying the local coloured glass ornaments (love it or hate it) then right in to the old manorial hall where... Not as spectacular as some National Trust places, but well worth an afternoon. Not especially exciting for kids. But nice building and nice gardens.
