Worth a visit any time of year and never so crowded you can't find a peaceful spot or walk. Great views of the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge as well.

This is a proper wood very close to the heart of Bristol. Lots of paths to explore on foot, plus dedicated mountain bike trails. Free and plentiful parking. Great views over the Avon Gorge. Lots of dogs about.

This place is huge and.beautofjl there are a few bits fitted about for kids to do and great trains for dog walks or bike rides.. personally I live just escaping to be surrounded by nature and fresh air xx

we go as a grough every year for the easter trail and the kids love it. its very well done and fun and they get a free chocolate egg at the end. booking in advance mandatory as they ususally sell out quickly
