Stopped here for a few beers whilst on a pub crawl. The bar is very atmospheric and quite gloomy with all the dark panelling and subdued lighting. However, the bar has a very stale smell that is quite nauseous and we had to sit outside...More

This was a great boozer with always at least half a dozen real ales on. Since Youngs have acquired we have their standard fare and 4 others one of which being the ubiquitous Gem. What adds salt to the wounds is the lack of home...More

The food here was second to none, particularly the Sunday roast. Massive portion with all the trimmings. Very cosy pub which accommodates for summer drinks or wintertime drinks. Feels very homely definitely a hidden gem!

We enjoyed drinks in this interesting pub, choosing to sit in the busy garden. Drinks were chosen from a wide selection of real ales and we all enjoyed our choices

This pub whisks you back in time. Loads of history with a real mix of customers. The food is good and the Sunday lunches are delicious and very reasonably priced. Happy staff make happy customers.

The pub itself is a bit dark inside but it has a lovely garden. The staff are always friendly and the food is delicious. Not far from where I work so a perfect place to meet friends for lunch.

Nice pub to head to for a quick lunch with work if you are based at/near the university, especially when the sun is shining. As a result we visit regularly, but as a vegetarian I seem to be stuck with variations on the veggie chilli...More

Another stop to drink beers during my stay in Bristol. This is typical student pub which was always full of students. Beers were perfect here - lots of dark, pale beers and ciders. Meals were good as well. But toilets were little dirty.
