I cannot praise this place enough. It is absolutely fantastic and both my self (late 30 something dad), wife (30 something mum) and son (3 year old Thomas fan) had a wonderful day. We attended the Day out With Thomas, during this visit for a family of 3 was £40 which really I have spent more on solo entry to... More

I can't praise today's experience enough! The welcome and staff was great. We rode on Thomas, Percy and a minituare steam engine. There were plenty of picnic tables plus an extensive indoor area with cafe and activities for teh children. Toilets and baby changing everywhere. The engines were so authentic. What I enjiyed most of all was that the venue... More

A very good place with a good reputation. The only problem is that they don't have a wide range of food. I understand that though because they don't have many people working for them. In fact, they're looking for volunteers.

Visited Buckinghamshire Railway Centre on Saturday 15th April 2017 and thought it was brilliant value for money. My 21 month old loved the train rides. Even if there wasn't Thomas there I think he would have enjoyed it as much. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would very much recommend and will definitely visit again!

A railtour I was on stopped at this fantastic railway museum with all types and sizes of steam & diesel loco,s. It is brilliant for children too as there is a lovely miniature railway that even the adults were riding on. There is a super cafe selling some lovely cakes, you honestly need 3-4 hours minimum to properly look round... More

The glass-roofed venue is very unusual but offers endless photographic opportunities! The arrival by steam train adds excitement to the ceremony! The large, separate dance floor gives opportunity to get rid of calories after beautifully served meal. The staff is polite and always at your service.

This is a railway centre with a lot to offer! From train rides to museum exhibits, the Centre provides a fascinating insight to Britain's railway heritage. Of particular interest is the Traveling Post Office exhibit, and its display regarding the Great Train Robbery, which took place not far from Quainton. Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a great day out rail enthusiasts... More
