The Heong Gallery is a little gem - a beautifully converted stable block that is now a free art gallery. It has temporary exhibitions, which are put together with great intelligence and flair.

Its a pity that the quadrangle was never finished . The neo classical architecture style is a favourite of mine.In the glorious sunshine this has to be one of the most beautiful colleges.

Hidden behind Regent Street, Downing College offers stunning, classical splendour and is well worth a visit. Interesting modern additions have followed the style of the original buildings.

Stunning building and vast grounds right in the commercial centre of Cambridge. We were lucky enough to see it on a hospice charity walk.

The good bits: wonderfully ambient historic setting with vast green acres and car parking in the centre of Cambridge. The porter staff are superb and the breakfast is of a good standard with well trained staff. The bad bits: How anyone can describe the rooms...More
