Grantchester is very popular and it is easy to understand why. Quintessential English village with lots to see and do. Try and get down to the river if you can, and the tea rooms and pubs are delightful

Have been here before such a picturesque village, had a wander round the common, had a pint in the village pub,well worth the visit.

there are many reasons to visit the picturesque village of Granchester; the meadows where you can buy coffee and cakes and sit in check chairs in a meadow, several pubs serving good food and drinks, the Rupert Brooke where you can have smoked salmon sandwiches...More

Couldn't have a better place to grow up. Many hours on meadows. Pubs to chose from. It was then a sheer delight. Not to mention the locals I was in school with at that time. And of course now.

Huge and beautiful green area to relax. Just sitting and watching Cam river passing by. It would be ideal to wander through the village using a bike instead of walking.

Yes you can , either a punt, a canoe or rowing boat, from Scudamores in Newnham , make sure you are taking a boat on the Upper River,its about a 45 minute journey by punt and absolutely beautiful, stop for a swim or a picnic... More
