This was our second visit to this museum, the purpose this time being to see the exhibition about children's lives. This was well curated and very interesting, with many surprises. There were some children visiting at the same time as us and they were very engaged with the exhibits and explanatory text. The two floors above have an amazing array... More

This is a small and eclectic museum with exhibits through time and from different places around the world. When I was there the main exhibit was about kids throughout the ages with artifacts from the Roman times to Victorian times. Although I visited by myself the place was filled with families and little kids that enjoyed the museum on an... More

The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge has one of the most important collections of its kind in the UK. It is a University museum. MAA’s collections span nearly two million years of human history. Oldest object is a 1.8 million year old stone tool. Along with ancient past, it also display contemporary life. Many of the objects represent... More

This was a great experience! Great for kids too. The massive totem pole is the centre piece. There are plenty of interesting objects that you can spend a good hour and a half in here. It was actually the staff working in this museum that made it most memorable though, don't be shy to talk to them and ask questions!... More

Visited the museum on a whim and so glad we went in. The two upper floors take you on a journey through time and round the globe. As you go from exhibit to exhibit you are transported rapidly across the continents. A fascinating insight into the world and its history.

Full of bones and wonders. There are three floors of items to see with many burials and old skeletons that will blow you away.

Both museums are free and have fantastic collections. There are small museums and just the right size if you are tired and need to rest here and there as they have places to sit down and rest while touring, or if one had an elderly person in tow and some thing interesting for every age group. My 12 year old... More
