The backs of the colleges along the river Cam are nice to look at, and there are some nice grassy areas to relax in, and to watch the grazing cows. However, the fronts of the colleges are more interesting to see first, and then perhaps...More

Go punting to see the backs of the Cambridge University Colleges. Lots of stories if you have a good tour guide/book, and the buildings are just beautiful. If you are punting, bring a bottle of wine and a picnic to enjoy on the water.

Quiet walks away from traffic with wildlife and views of Cambridge colleges. This is the best way to view the River Cam. Best on a dry, sunny day.

Parking in Cambridge is a pain and expensive. At time of writing nearly £28 per day. There is parking on the Backs but this is restricted. Best thing to do is to take one of the Park and Ride services. The closest is... More
