The Corpus Clock can be viewed at Street Level on the Outside of the Taylor Library at Corpus Christi College in Trumpington Street.
It is an unusual Device for the Measurement of Time being both hypnotically beautiful and deeply disturbing. The Face of the Clock is plated in Pure Gold and sitting atop the Clock is an extraordinary Monster “the ‘Chronophage”.
What is so noteworthy is that the Clock has no Hands or Digital Numbers, however there are 3 Rings of LED's, which reading from the Innermost Ring show Hours, Minutes and Seconds.
The Corpus Clock is fascinating and for sure a Must See when in Cambridge.

The Corpus Clock is one of the most striking public monuments in Cambridge. It is a unique and strange looking sculptural clock mounted at street level at Corpus Christi College. As it's at street level and on a busy junction, taking photos is not very easy with people walking across and there's always a gathering of people there who come to see it. Highly recommend visiting while on tour in Cambridge.

A friend recommended we look for it. It didn’t disappoint. Looked up Dr Taylor and the creation of the clock on the internet. The YouTube video helped to explain how the clock works and how it shows the time of day.

Interesting clock and public art that symbolizes the passage of time. It's meant to be off by a few minutes.

I thought we would like to see this when visiting Cambridge so passed by. Unfortunately it was damaged so lost some of its pavement appeal. Glad I saw it though

One of the must see things in the centre of the city, so our walking guide said! Costing over a £1 million (!) this is meant to signify the constant grabbing of time and that you can never get back what has gone, which is very cheery! Not solid gold but the big dial is gold leaf gilded. Mechanism isn't super accurate so not one to set your own watch by - stick to the smart phones :-)

I generally do not like to give bad reviews, but as this is free and on the middle of a major street, I had to walk by it every day for a month! It is interesting the first time you see it, but there were so many people crowding it and taking photographs that I just never got much time to spend with it.

It is easy to miss this clock but well worth a quick look if you are in the centre of Cambridge. It is quite unusual and well worth a couple of minutes of anyone's time.

It only needs a short while to see this slightly strange clock, but worth the walk past if you are in town. Interesting piece.
